Is it possible to remove my linked Steam Account from a secific website? I linked my account to a specific forum and they do not have any "Unlink Your Steam Account" Button anywhere.
if it is a forum, there is probably no way to remove it. the plugins that do that don't have an option to do that by the users. Admins on such forum can do so, but depends on the plugin and the ACP.
Even if your steam account is linked, its only a indication of your steamid, unlike other services like facebook and google you do not exchange data other then the data that is publicly visible.
Indeed, the only thing recorded by a forum is a ID64 (76561198044443917) number or ID3 ( [U:1:84178189] )or ID32 (STEAM_0:1:42089094) With that (mostly the ID64), links can be build to various sites, like steamrep, or to the backpack or various public pages on your profile or backpack. Whatever you share (or not) on your steam community page that is still completely under your control. sites like http://backpack.tf pull your backpack, and display it. After that they keep it cached for at least several months, I believe its about 6 months.
Paranoia certainly is interesting. My email password is 64 letters long and I store my precious documents on an USB stick in case somebody hacks my computer.
hmm, USB sticks aren't the best way imo... as a USB controller is actually code-executing, there are viruses that can be stored within the USB controller/USB device that can turn any device into another device, to let windows take on input from it. As far as I know, virusscanners and malwarescanners aren't able to detect malicious code within that (yet?) for it pertains firmware within the controller. So, exchanging USB devices between computers isn't a very good idea maybe. One luck with this: its not widespread or abused much yet, for the vulnerability was determined in 2 different universities. USB chipsets/firmware will need to be secured to prevent overwriting from manufacturer, and a way to verify the content etc. ... that might take decades before they would start doing so. Infected with such: cannot be removed... you basically end up tossing the peripheral, and at BEST disable the USB controller(s) on motherboards etc. (question is: how, for after using that keyboard to do that.... you can throw away the keyboard, and can't connect a new one....)
