To whom it may concern,

I was reported for fake rep and was put a caution tag on my account. Yes I did have fake rep on my profile; however I never used to deceive or scam anyone.

I truly don't know. I guess the closest answer to your question is that I saw a lot of other people having fake +rep so I wanted to have it as well.
