It's not like I gained any hats from idling over 2000 hours anyway.
    *boots TF2 in achievement_idle server*

    It's so cute.
And especially surprising that this hat works for the Soldier too... the first time you can actually see the upper part of his head.

Valve gave them to those that didn't idle with the program.

Also the backpack of ErikJ the one that deleted all the idle stuff

I dunno, but if I think he cheats way more then I did when I idled.

    whaha, awesome! :D
Got one too, I think it's great that valve rewards the fair players^^

Reading from their post, they have also..qouting time!
Since it's usable for all, I think you can equip it for more classes.(I've equipped it for all 8 classes, for the scout I already had the batter's helmet.)

Well since people are running a program to get things done inside tf2 which is not ment to happen in that way you could even get as far as saying as they have been using a hack or a cheat.
Won't go that far though ;)

Everyone who has used that program knows it's not the way you should be getting them, so don't act all surprised when valve takes action.
    Besides that:
We're talking about freaking hats (mutsjes!), nothing to get all dramatic about :D

Well to be honest I don't think you can compare it to a cheat, more like a script. Since everything could be done by manual labor. The people that booted up TF2 and joined achievement_idle servers got halo's for practicaly doing the same thing as I did.
And if admin's think that I am therefore instantly a cheater, this community is getting more stupid by the update.

Valve should have just released a trade program. Why would you make a major update, whilst most people can't even enjoy it?

to gauge the community's intrest ofc and promote TF2 as a whole, without having to spend billions on retarted advertising bullshit

and scripts are just fancy cheats, you basicly automate actions you should pull of yourself, how is that NOT a cheat? :')

First of all, was talking in general terms. and i say i won't go as far as considering it a cheat or hack.
Nobody called you a cheater and don't involve the community in it. Unless you mean the general tf2 community , but still.

There's a difference with in a script since you don't run it ingame. It's an .exe
which mimics tf2 . Whole different thing.

Agree on the achievement servers, same thing as just playing.
Also agree on the trade system, that should have been up already.
Most people enjoy more hats, unless you want them all in 1 week.
I think hats were no ment to be gotten all at once, but just a few once in a while.
And if players are too impatient to just play and get them once in a while, I cannot help that.

You are right, however I don't think the solution Valve gave us is the right one. And yes I don't mind getting a hat once in a while. But I "Cheated" for over 2000 hours and have not received a hat. That is roughly the same as playing 400 days for me. Wich means I wouldn't have received a hat in a year's worth of playing.

Guess I am just one of the unlucky ones. That's the mean reason I detest random chance.

Well I hope those incorruptable people enjoy there Halo's, and hopefully this hate against both sides dies down fast. Since this isn't a nice way to play TF2.
