1. The trade part of Lethal Zone has fully been taken over by FoG (Fortress of Gamers) and this site can no longer be used to make appeals. If you feel that your tag is unjust, please file an appeal over at https://f-o-g.eu.trade instead.

    Appeal:
    Hello,

I'm writing to you regarding my steamrep ban from today:
    https://trade.lethal.zone/threads/76561197960909134.24910/
    "Banned Lethal Zone Trade"

First of all I'd like to clarify something which is very important to me. On steamrep, there are listed 3 alt accounts of mine - but I only own two of them - the third one has never been owned by me, it's a friends one - I can provide proof for that.

The one which I never owned is "76561198077637157".
Looking at its historical data, it's name has been "rezzorf" almost all of the times. "rezzorf" is a reallife friend of mine, his current account can be found here: http://steamcommunity.com/id/rezzorf/

He can confirm that I never owned that account for sure and never played nor traded on it.

Now to the second point, which is more of a question: What does getting "fake" cash-rep have to do with scamming?! I am permanently banned from SteamREP now and therefore probably won't even be able to trade ever again from now on just because I had gotten invalid cash rep? The people who posted the cash reputation into my thread didn't know about the fact that only cash rep should be posted into the CS:GO Rep group either - how come that only I get punished for that?

After I was contacted about whether the reputation was invalid I misunderstood something and got scared from being banned from the CS:GO Rep group as I hadn't read the rules - which was the reason for me first deleting "Edward" and afterwards faking a Skrill screenshot to not be banned.

I had never planned to get more invalid cash reputation as I had now known that the group is for cash reputation only.

Obviously I know that I've done something wrong now and won't ever repeat that - but I feel like BANNED is too much of a punishment. I NEVER intented to scam someone and would NEVER do that - in my opinion this is what steamrep bans should be given for.

Wouldn't there be another punishment? I find it WAY to hard for farming invalid cashrep without even INTENDED.

    Thanks for reading

    Best regards

    Marcel

    Hello!

I will respond to a couple of things:
Your friend will have to appeal using that account to have the tag removed for being an alt, you are welcome to prove it in that thread.

Cash reputation is used to gauge the trustworthiness of a user during a trust based trade. If you fake reputability (which is what you did) that damages the entire system of reputation and makes rep pointless in the first place, therefore making cash trading unsafer. Not to mention the fake shield of trust you form when making cash trades with other users leading them to make possible damaging (for them) decisions.

We're not here to punish. Our tags serve as a warning to members of the community that interacting with yourself in terms of trading will present a risk. A risk generated by the fact your reputation (which you could use to make someone participate in a risk based trade with you/"go first") isn't real, or inaccurate.

    -----------------

Generally we only apply CAUTION tags to those who farm fake reputation. But due to the whole fake evidence stuff etc (for which being nervous is not an excuse), and the fact this was not profile comments; we decided to apply a full.

Since your tag was only applied 1 day ago (at the time of writing), I will allow you to submit another appeal in 90 days (when your tag is 91 days old). At which point we will consider dropping your tag to a caution. Archiving.

    Regards.
