It contains alot of public gameplay (from L-zone servers, so your name might show up ) I like playing pyro even though everybody hates him because it's "w+m1" So I recorded some and made a short video Song is pendulum - Granite , I know Pendulum is being used in TOO MANY fragmovies, but atm I don't have/know any other good 'fragmovie-music'.. if you know any, feel free to post them
I have a slight headache after watching that movie, must be my old age.. Nice try.. but if you play so much on Lethal, which you do , why not mention us in your info with a link...???? Maybe just a silly question, but it can get us lots of traffic/new players... And that is what we want....
Granite always wins for me Btw I dont hate pyro's, I fear them if not in the wrong hands (there are noobs with every class)
First of all, nice vid. Really. It may be 'average' as our leet god Ps states but it's kinda how I play. Then again you are very lucky. I just return from a day full of pyroing, and boy some people really do not get it. Some of the heavies you killed started firing up at your medic, but it shows they cant really hit him either. anyway, as a heavy you can mess up pyros with medic rather easily if they get close. Ususally you shoot the medic first but with pyros, by all means take the pyro. And at goldrush stage 3 there was a BLU soldier on top of the cart, he can't aim for shit At the start you blast a Soldier very far away on badlands middle point, and that rocket nearly hits you but fails to do very much damage. While I today was hit by (I think it was Mike Spazzowski's?) rocket as demo and lost 120 hp or something which was rather awkward to me (less I was a lone and it wasnt a crit). Also a lot of enemies do not really respond to you walking towards them with an axe or into their spawn towards a burning sniper. BUT, all this is the fault of the other players, your actions were nice and good, regardless of how the other players reacted. That last soldier you pushed towards the edge of the map in Well at the end of the vid, really nice CPing there. That rocket was so far away when you blasted it back, and also so much to the side of your flaethrowerm, I wouldnt have thought it to be possible. Appearently it is so then I have to go try that tomorrow Nice vid, at least I enjoyed watching it. Actually a lot is fun to watch when listening to granite or other tracks from pendulums In Silcio (love that album)
Rockets have fall off damage, meaning the longer they travel the less damage they do, in the maximum range they can do as little as 48 damage on a direct hit. I think that you where Jarateed on when Mike hit you, since rockets point blank do about 105-112 damage and a mini-crit makes that 122. Source: http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Rocket It maybe just my comp spirit speaking but by killing the medic you take away the attackers lifeforce and therefore weakening him. An unhealed pyro can be killed by 2 rockets, most overhealed pyro's survive all 4 of them, unless they are being juggled or given direct hits. That might have something to do with the demo playback, if he recorded it from a demo. Also the AB has quite a big radius of action. I kindly ask you to refrain from calling me an elitist jerk. And I will tell you why I think it is avarage. - I have seen a lot of fragmovies. Fragmovies are, in my opinion, meant to show the top of your game, cherry-picked footage that makes other people want to try it out, that makes you respect that players dedication to that class. With all respect but this looked like random pubbing to me and while there where some good clips. The soldier on goldrush and on well where quite nice. Although the mediocre clips outwayed the nice ones, eg someone rushing you with melee while on fire. I have seen Mr. B play and I know he can do better then that. And I am looking forward to see a jaw-dropping fragmovie next time. As far as the music goes, Pendulum is becoming a part of the TF2 community, just as much as every CS/CSS fragmovie had "Let the bodies drop" in it. A for effort though.
Thanks, I didnt know that yet. No I was absolutly not jarated and alone with the soldier, I suppose I had a little less then 120 in that case. Anyway I was rather surprised. I was talking explicitly about being heavy and seeing a pyro comming towards you. The medic usually tries to stay as far behind as possible, and also behind his target. Therefor taking out the medic would take rather long while killing the pyro goes much faster. Add the fact that you dont die, in the case of medic-pyro vs heavy I say take the pyro out first. In other cases you should go for the medic first (unless they are so close your hitboxes hit ) Sorry I'll try I just tend to react like that when people act like someone elses actions are very nooblish when they are not. Your explaination checks out but without it saying his vid contains average footage is almost like calling him some sort of noob.
You are right indeed. I kinda of reacted really quick since I had to go, but seeing back on it, reacting without arguments is not that great.
Yeah, it's pretty much all public except some Badlands parts (with the flare gun mostly) I just played 2 pickups and damn, pyro is hard to play in a pickup I got alot of whining from the enemy team, don't know if that's a good thing or not lol But yeah, next 'fragmovie' will be all match/pickup Might throw in some public footage at the end/credits part Thanks for all the advice and comments
