    Found asteroids over the past 30 years around the earth (we are the 3th planet circling around the sun ;))

    1980 - 2000 = 80.000
    2000 - 2010 = 530.000

    I think you should realise we have been around for hundreds of millions of years, and those asteroids have probably always been there, its just we discover more and more as our technology progresses, i think asteroids should be the least of our worries.

    Idd, most of them burn up there, so stop worrying wasnt ment to be serious, I just found it amazing.

    If I'm correct the astroid belt was ment to become a planet but couldnt do it, because the gravity of Jupiter wast to strong to form anything. Anyway its a 2D visualisation of a 3D thing, so it looks scarier then it is :D

    the extreme large belt that forms the edge of our solarsytem ( probably ) isn't even on there.
    Saw this on discovery once. There are billions billions comets on the edge. Waaaaaaaaay beyond pluto.

    Funny to see that the astroids found around launch of hubbel telescope goes up massivly. To bad it's at the end of it's life.
