Berlin is awesome. Went there on a university excursion with my classmates. Needless to say, we had a blast. We found an especially nice Mexican Steak House with dirt-cheap pizza's and cocktails. Result: pizza for desert.
    Good times, good times.

I must say that Berlin scored rather low on my "awesome-cities-list", but it was still nice.

I guess it all depends on what you do and with whom you do that.

I thought Berlin was pretty cool from what I can remember. The big Sony store was there back then, and that square area was awesome. If I remember correctly, doesn't the government building have the glass dome roof you can walk in?

well there was some sort of event at the Reichstag so we couldn't go in sadly :/ but yeah it still has the glass dome (will upload pictures when i can get to my pc)
and the square areas had a festival with street commedians and many little cocktail bars really cool and suprisingly cheap.
it was called alexanderplatz or potsdamer platz

@Alias yep you can have a walk there but youll have to wait pretty long to get in.

Btw did you visit the Blockhaus restaurant? They cook delicious meat and bread.

well i wanted to tell you but i didn't even know the destination before we went there and it was a group tour, so there was no space for going through Berlin alone :/

also got some photos here: from up->down the Reichstag, The Brandenburger Tor and a piece of the berlin wall and i think that is the west side you're looking at
