every FPS has his different bandwidth usage. Tf2 usage lots of more bandwidth then CSS. Beside that its really difference what tick your using. Tick33 will use much less bandwidth then a tick66 or tick100.

A full server, like Lethal-zone 1, will use approx:
    350kb/s Upload
    100kb/s Download

    Lethal-zone 1 usage of yesterday (11-8-2009):
    Download 5,0 GB
    Upload 13,8 GB

for more info on datausage of my server can be found here: http://data.ericjuh.nl/

But upload/download isnt the problem with a gameserver. A gameserver will be destroyed when latency (ping) is high. If you host a gameserver at home you will see that latency is increasing massive when there are more players connecting.

hosted a call of duty 4 server ones for 2 months or so..

wen't pretty good not really high latency's and so on...

but i think thats because of my server was right after my modem.. and i live across the thing of UPC and because of me having a BIG connection:D

    thanks for the stats.
I won't be hosting a server at home and seeing the traffic it would not be feasible at this point in time.

500 to 750 gb a month is far more than I expected.

There's a reason why gameservers most of the time are hosted at a datacenter instead of home ;)
But see what the future will bring withe the newer 120 MB internet conenctions.
