Butthurt admin @ #2

So, for 3 games in a row i see the guys from the ∞ clan/guild/whatever teamstacking and winning the game. Next round i make my name: "∞ Teamstacking nub"

Some admin doesnt really like that and starts to make my name different (like random letters) so i change it back again, since nobody told me anything why i could or could not use that name. Next thing i know i get kicked without reason.

I join the server back and use 'Infinity Teamstacking nub' instead, get kicked again, after he told me he would ban me if i don't change my name.

Change name into: Who's kicking me? Say your name buub. And get kicked yet again without any reason.

Of course, having some guild thingy in front of my name and 'pretending' to be with them is wrong, but teamstacking imo is wrong to, especially since they are pretty good.
Plus i got no reason for getting kicked (at least the first two times), and neither have someone from the ∞ clan/guild/whatever tell me if i could maybe change my name.

Why i'm making this is basicly just that i'm wondering if the admin's have to much right? Maybe to much admins? Can't even change my name into anything because it might a associate with some clan/guild?

I for one am not planning on removing the 'infinity' from my name now, I would have not care about an hour, but the butthurt admin sure made it more fun.

that admin indeed treated you wrong, in the first place a admin should always give people a warning and telling him what he is doing wrong. now i dont see how teamstacking nub is offending to anybody since noob is not realy offending (i never kick people for having the word noob in their name).
i believe this was a mistake but i think the admin that is responsible for this should solve this

He should've warned you and ask you to change your name back, instead of doing it himself.

However what you did wasn't really nice and what Monsieur Darthowicz did even less. That's pretty much trolling what you two did there.
But yeah... Team/Clanstacking has always been an issue and can probably never be resolved. Everyone who plays on the servers knows that there are certain tagteams around and of course also the clans and the "clans".
Then again you can't really resent them for that, since you just like to play with people you actually know and can trust.

 

@Cauchemar yeah, i was kinda trolling, a bit ubering a sniper isn't the best thing to do probably. But i was annoyed by how i saw demoman just running around killing everyone with the swords so i just went ubering dartho

And about the teamstacking, i do realise you wanna play with your team, thats why your in a team, but some clans are just to good for the public servers imo. Like for instance yoyotech (who i have never seen teamstacking, i must add), whenever i see one of them play, they are pretty much always ranked 1-3.
I would not even try to fight them if there are 3 or more ppl from that clan in 1 team, thats epic fail written all over it.

 

So what should those clans do? I try not to teamstack but I apparently I got honey on my butt since some members keep on joining my team (Redsteel <3). Thing is Team Fortress is more enjoyable with people you can play TEAM fortress with.

 

sometimes auto-assign puts u in the same team and sometimes u dont have a choice but joining clanmates

Don't get me wrong, i'm not somebody who is gonna complain about a round of teamstacking, but after 3 rounds of getting your butt kicked (and i mean kicked, on 1 round our top member had somwhere in the 30's and the top on the other team was in the 80's) because they are teamstacking (and no, this was no coincidence, they all choose for the same team) i was kind of pissed off.

 

Well for these issues there's usually the scramble function.
Did nobody vote for the scramble? Since usually people even from the superior team vote for scramble, when it's getting too unfair.
Plus an admin should also initiate a scramble vote on his own, when he notices that the game is just a ridiculous steamroll.

 

Some people tried to scramble in the second map i was in (i think it was the second one) But there was just 3 more minutes to play, so would be nextmap soon anyway.

And in my opinion, the scramble system is as randomly as can be, sometimes it just switches 1 person from blu to red and vice versa, not really helping at all. And because of this, i almost never scramble, since it probably won't help.

Aside of this, i was just in the shower, and i remembered that i was 'blinded' by the admin after i changed my name back when admin changed my name.
But, nothing happend, what is this blinded thing supposed to do? Anyone knows?

No idea who it was, he was only talking via (ADMIN) in green text. I did ask him who it was, but he jsut responded 'me...'

 

In that case you can forget my comment. And yes the scramble option needs a bit of work but scrambling 2/3 times (as admin) ussually works too.

 

And there comes the epic problem:
You cant.

I have tried to call scamble votes 5 times now, and 3 of those it gave back a negative because 50% voted no. And i dont need to guess what team voted no. And getting 3 scrambles in a row by votes isnt going to work at all.
where is the instant scramble option? Why is it gone? I cant recall any abuse of it, so why remove it?
And yes I'm going to keep asking for the instant scramble option to return untill it has been returned.

 

I never used it lately is it removed then? I recall using something like scramble_now or something.

I had rounds in which one team has been totally steamrolled, thats quite ridiculous because those players leave and the teams get autoscrambled. But it doesnt make it better. The players who got scrambled are leaving too, because they dont want to lose.

 

Hmh, the infinity guys are usually cool. I see tatum and keltsu teamchanging to the losing team quite a lot... (I think it's them tho, my memory is vague)

 

Team stacking sucks, your right about that...
But like said before, sometimes you just can't help it, when autojoining...

Scrambling does help sometimes, not all...
Admins should take note in steamrolling rounds, and do a vote....

But changing your name to ∞ Nazi Admin doesn't really put you in a great spot either.....

Admins need some guidance now and then....
Hope the admin who has done this, reads this topic, and does something with it...

 

most of the time when i see people wanting to scramble start a vote for the next round, stacking i in my book a no-go so i'll try and even it out and yes sometimes you get put toghetter so but teamstacking just to win the round is lame and unsportsman like. most people like to have a nice game not get steamrolled by some team who think it's funny to beat defenceless people but i will never rage on them with admin right (only when i need to) or they just ask me to hahahaha

 

@ Killvion; i had that option for a while or on some of the servers, but i don't think i have it now when i call up admin menu.. maybe a change in the menu?

@ Thax; Lol... if you call me Nazi admin, you'll get lucky if you don't get banned...
no respect for me is no respect for you... i've seen ya around, never had probs with ya.. but this opens my eyes.. and instead of changing your name all the time to offensive nicks, could have tried something like; "lol admin, kick?? can i ask why??"... and if you don't get any response in the first minutes, try again with a normal question.. admins do play also, we're not there to watch everybody all the time or what people say.. we do pay attention to strange things or when people get insulting to others or worse, directly to the admins..

@ Bartieboy; Noob is idd not an insult if you use it in the right way.. i've seen people who use the word in very nasty context.. and at that moment i think by myself; "wow, the other team is losing already and then they have a teammate making them feel bad because they dont play good enough in his eyes.. telling them every 5mins what kinda noobs they are and asking if it's the first time they've played and stuff" :shock:
