Ok, So in light of the crashes, which i cant do much about (read front page) i do have some other things up my sleeve. Starting from today all servers (should work, if not report it) will have a "calladmin" function. Basicly what this means is that a admin will be called on the spot to the server you are in. Just do "/calladmin Flameretard is talking racism" (you can also use !calladmin, but i assume you dont want the hacker/cheater/whatever see it) Remember, its always good to put a name (or better a steamid) in there so that we know who you are talking about. So how does this work? You call for a admin, the server send out a request to our "tools" which then send a announcement in the lethal-zone TF2 admin group. Where basicly all the admins for TF2 are. Since we usually are gaming or have steam turned on, this is the best way to get somebody https://steamcommunity.com/groups/lza-tf2/ ^- this is the group of tf2 admins, here you can see that you called for somebody, and then ofcourse one of the admins (if nobody responded) should also check this and report on a actual call. Like one of the request now it said "spammers" which doesn't make much sense but there was another one which was a aimbot, looked up his id and yes it was a real cheater. So i banned that person too. Because of this we hope that the "threshold" to call for a admin or report somebody is much lower, increasing our "admin" duty's and giving the community a cleaner server. p.s. ofcourse, abuse will be a perm ban (and you know what i mean with abuse, 10x in a row bla bla) p.p.s. this can be done for css too, but we really need more admins there *hint hint*
Ok, and how do we know if the problem is solved? Post a comment under the announcement or? It's kind of stupid to have 5 admins connecting for the same problem and all.
You can always insert a command saying "i'll look into it" but nonetheless, its a better improvement then getting no admin at all. Or if you prefer to have a list thats so big that every time you look at it you are trying to find a "search" button.. (thats my list)
It also makes a nice impression on the regulars when suddenly five people with an |LZ| tag join, after someone used !calladmin I don't know about the /calladmin though... Multiple players might try to use it for the same problem, since it would not be clear whether someone already called them or not.
Still a really nice option to have.... And yes please do install it on our CSS servers as well. At least on the Gungame and DM servers... Since they attract those kind of players...
I know the problem of css admins, but the community isn't that stable anymore for css (We can celebrate its 7th birthday allmost). You can see the change of new people coming on and off and a few regulars, witch aren't all that admin minded/interested... Nice plugin. Hope it will catch on Snel (get it...mahaaahaha)...cause I'm usually on the gg server and not on the DM servers.
I'll implement it on the admin css later on. First wan to have the crashes issue resolved on tf2.. once that is done we can fine tune tf2 a bit more (since thats the biggest playerbase) and then i'll move on to css learning
Sounds like a really good feature. When I first joined/started playing on LZ I was surprised it was so hard to find an Admin.
The problem is.. .player on the css server's are enough. But the most player's on a Deathmatch Server don't stay on this server. If you play as much as me on the DM server you will find everyday new nicknames of players. Not often the same. Yeah some regulars that name's i know, but in DM you dont chat with others you dont have to wait till you respawn etc. And the normal server is not very often full only if regulars play. The zombiemod server was on the beginn always 20/54 players filled but now its sometimes MAX 20/54 often 3/54 .. I don't know why. . Mby there should be more funny plugins? IDK ... But on the DM #1,DM #2 , Zombie server the plugin would be good.
