According to Global Stats Counter, Google Chrome now has 0,46% more of the market share than Firefox, thereby taking over second place, that FF held for so incredibly long. Probably a result of far better marketing. You see the adds for Chrome everywhere. Still, quite the achievement.
i dont like chrome,ff has alot of more possibilities, addons, designs, scripts. You can make your unique one. And chrome is for the easy unexprienced people that are once a week online. IMO
I HAD been a FF user for a long time, but last month I swapped to Chrome. Firefox just had some awful bugs, memory leaks and made my PC just run slow when I had a few tabs open. Plus everything you do requires a restart. Chrome, looks shaper, has some very nice features and never crashes... A move I made and really don't think I'll go back.
Yes firefox sometimes takes 700mb Ram thats really much, thats right. But i dont like it, if a software gives me to much "standards".
Yup. Chrome has tons of addons now as well, and is very damn fast. Reason why I switched when chrome was released already. Though before that I've been using opera. I don't know, I never really liked FF.
but ehm , about you're far better marketing part..ehm, well lets see: Chrome is made by google, most used web search site is Google. a popular video website, Youtube, is owned by Google. basically Google is taking over the (internet) world! *puts a tinfoil hat on*
So Jer, what you're saying is that you completely agree with me? And Varsity. Chrome needed a bit of a fanbase first, but now almost every addon that's available for FF is also available as a Chrome extension. Perhaps you should re-check Chrome, because you can personalise it a lot. Hell you can even install apps into your webbrowser. e.g. I have an angry birds and a weather app in my google chrome. Have fun with FF.
+1 and +1. Nice feature, copied straight from Opera . I'm not being a fanboy saying the Opera devs invented everything, but they've always been very forward-thinking, it's a shame that so few people use it/know about it. Also, it used to beat every other browser in performance tests ; I don't know if it's still the case though, because Google put a lot of efforts in making Chrome the best browser, and it's a good thing since FF and the others are challenged to follow.
Happy FF user, i have no intend on changing my winning team 8) (As i mean it works, and it keeps working good on my hardware/software combo)
Okay its pretty nice and faster, ff got sometimes lags etc. But .. srsly. I dont want 20 Chrome.exe processes in my Task-Manager.... when running Chrome..
What a strange reasoning. I understand people not using Chrome because of Google, but because of loads of processes in the task manager?
