lol marmot how do you always get these kinds of vids? you know the funny whacky ones? (don't tell) nice one though. Btw I don't like coffee, but I could use liking it because I am always a wreck in the mornings
no! he is sick! unless he means one per 5 min... than we have the good old poison drinking muse back
lol yeah even in the old testament and stuff alcohol is promoted ^^ So what about christian anti-alcohol activist? Are they blasphemers?
hmm 1st of all, the bible is a really boring book so tbh i didn't read it. secondly, respect to those christian activists! they still got time to preach against alcohol while trying to convince people that birth control is a sin and so on... and thirdly what does "blasphemy" mean? argh sorry, i have to admit i don't understand any of this
I consider every dedicated Christian as a blasphemer. The Roman Church is built on a bunch labile grandpa's. I mean come on, do they really want to be taken serious if their leader was Nazistic before!? I don't think so ... ^^ Ssr for this small off-topic interruption
marm blasphemy is actually using (a) gods name in a disrespectful manner, such as saying god dammit, but here it is used as it is often to refer to sinning agsinst god/ gods word. And I would agree to protests for alcholISM, but just plain alcohol is fine, not that I like it though. Edit: I looked it up at the german wikipedia for you marm, maybe it can help: Der Begriff Blasphemie (altgr. ἡ βλασφημία, τῆς βλασφημίας - blasphêmÃa – die „Rufschädigung“, zusammengesetzt aus βλάπτειν - bláptein - „Schaden bringen, benachteiligen“ und ἡ φήμη - phếmê oder dorisch ἡ φάμα - pháma - „die Kunde, der Ruf“) bezeichnete ursprünglich eine „Gotteslästerung“, das heißt das öffentliche Leugnen, Verhöhnen oder Verfluchen bestimmter Glaubensinhalte einer Religion. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blasphemie @ doelwit: Alcohol isnt really promoted for the sake of alcohol, back in those days, water wasn't clean as it is these days. It contained lots of bacteria and ppl didnt have a very good immume system to begin with. So alcoholic drinks like beer and wine were more common drinks, since they are safer. @ Cosmo Actually wine, usually with addition of honey, is refere to as drink of the gods, for example in odysseus, when he offers the cyclope wine with honey as drink of the gods. They still drank beer very often, but wine was more special thus more for the gods. But of course you will think its a drink of the gods XD Hope this clears something up, even though its off the original topic subject
thx for the info, meta but what i meant to say was that the word "blasphemy" doesn't make sense if one doesn't believe in religious things anyway...
wth is going on here? first: there's some convo's with depth in it! :| second: there's some convo's with depth in it!
