Just asking you guys if you were interested in a vote to disable random critz at each beginning of a map. Maybe it's just me but I'm pretty annoyed of random critz although I'm aware of it's part of the game. It just destroys key moments which could turn a game like ubers etc. I think you know what I mean ^^

If I recall, we used to have this. However due to TF2s quick play settings, if crits are disabled people cant join through that route, potentially harming server numbers. But I agree, crits are so annoying.

In fact Lethal zone owns a strong community I don't think you rly need that route. If people like to play on this server with decent players and settings they will remember it ;)

I blame the free2play update for this. I'm sure it's the reason a lot of "classic" players quit the game. I can totally understand their step. But I don't think it would harm more if this vote is enabled. Surely I don't know it but I don't think that these players keep the servers alive.

We can put it on AM2, get some people to fill it for a week or 2 and see how it goes.

I think AM1 will run dry if you do that. Back in the days, with the NO-CRITZ server, it was hard to get it full. Even when you where playing with 6 - 8 regs...

I think AM2 would be a better idea.

I think people don't care that much for critz that the server will running empty fast. It's still just a vote, nothing firm. Nobody will feel forced to something. If more players like to play with it the vote will win. So why not support the majority of interests on the server? Sometimes it will be on or off. Nothing really harmful in my opinion.

Putting it on a empty server will not bring adequate samples and results. It must be tested on the community and firm players and they play on AM1 at the moment. So I would definitely propose AM1 and if it's just for a few days.

We had it and got rid of it for a clear reason. Even All Maps 1 became harder to fill. You'd be surprised how many people join that server through quickplay. If we enable this, people can't join through that way and even AM1 will become struggeling. Besides that we'd lose our place in the ranking so that even when crits are on, we'd get less players through quick play.

I don't think it's such a good idea, even though I'd love to be proven otherwise, I'm not a fan of random crits either.

Please don't get me wrong, btw. I think it's great that you're coming forward with your ideas that might help improve the server, but I'm afraid it's going to have the same results as previous times. However, we could still try it. The problem is however that without quickplay, AM2 won't fill at all, so we can't test it there. And I'm not sure if it's worth the risk on AM1. Perhaps it'll be great, but I'm not sure.

We tried it, and simply put. If people vote no crits, then we wont be in the quickplay que. Not only that, but we will also loose our standing. (yes, the more players you had the better the standings, the quicker you get quickplay players too)

Which comes down to the fact that if we have 4 to 5 players finally on the server, it will fill pretty quickly. Those 4/5 players dont want to play there forever in the hope it fills up (if quickplay is off)

Back in the days our server was "found" by players, these days quickplay people just press a button and go play. Its a shame because all normal servers pretty much died because of this.

Even our dustbowl server is mostly dead nowadays, including the trial am3 nocrits server, but am2 is also dead because there are simply not people playing on it because AM1 or dustbowl is either full and they dont see the need to fill that one. (and thats because the server isn't full 24/7 anymore that you have to wait 30 minutes to finally get in .. back in the old days)

AM2 has issues... so it needs a complete overhaul before it becomes fillable again.

clear out the custom maps to start with...
