Title says it all - are there any decent (non-quickplay) servers left which still see some visitors? Been playing some TF2 again lately, and in spite of not having played for >2 years, quickplay games aren't much of a challenge.
skial is "decent" with alot of ", but only if you disable the HTML MotD in the advanced settings, else the ads are gonna kill either you or your ping (probably both). There's usually a few good/experienced players (often with comp experience) on there. Pretty much during all the usual playtimes for EU servers there are 15+ players on there (depends on the map too though). Warning for the chat, it's quite bad sometimes. Panda-Community has some good custom servers, but didn't really look for their vanilla servers. Usually pretty well filled too. Reddit servers were quite full (with good players too) the last time I was on them, but that might have changed, since the last time I was there was pre-Gunmettle. Don't know much else, since I'm too lazy to look for them (like you apparently ) and joining quickplay servers is alot easier (wow, quickplay actually does what it's supposed to!)
I admit, I thought I'd ask around before blindly trying servers, stumbling from one cesspool into another. Thanks for those - will give it a shot. And yea - quickplay does get you into a full game quickly... But it also makes you leave quickly when the enemy team (4 spies, 2 snipers and 3 scouts) disguises in front of you, does not notice you shooting at them, or when your team's engineer builds a lvl 3 sentry at spawn.
Everything got killed, its only time before the last tf2 servers will die... i mean i can host stuff, its never been about the money either. But well, if there are no players for a particular server its kind of useless. I don't have the time to baby sit some stuff. Perhaps we should look at a active server of any kind of thing that runs on linux and recruit that if they have money problems.
