    This post is for the regs who want changes to be made the the dodgeball server.

    (changes like less/more rockets, less/more damage on the rockets etc.)

    Please try and be as specific as you can. This will help us in changing the server to make more fun.

    Great, glad this came up because most regulars where considering quitting -

    #1 To have most the maps with 1 rocket that does full dammage but for the normal rockets to hit them when they make contact like what nukes do

    #2 To have the classic maps back like blue_court and red_court ect

    that's an problem!

    you must first ask to convert the maps from voogru to this mod :(

    You should really get rid of the melee weapons :lol: Cause many players use them and that's not fair for a db server :)
    Another thing :? Can you make players invulnerable to airblasts? xD I know that it sounds stupid but can you do it?

    i thought the new dodgeball mod didn't have melee weapons. i'll need to cheak that though.

    and as for invunerable to airblasts i think we tried to do that before but its in the game codeing and we can only change one of the axis (forget what one) but you can still airblast.

    I may not be the most popular player, but I enjoy playing the DB as it was before changes!
    Therefore I suggest putting server back as it was !
    Maybe too demanding list, but it would more pleasant to play like this
    1)Only rockets which, can kill with one hit and which increase speed with every reflect(but no too high);
    2)^ Those rockets don't have splash damage, so you wouldn't kill 2 player with one rocket;
    3)Nukes on some maps , which can destroy entire team :)D);
    4)No more maps with >9000 rockets, who take 90 hp;
    5)No more maps with environmental death by getting air-blasted down OR you could make both team not able to reach each other.

    Sorry if I seem too demanding (again) :?

    The thing is, we went over to linux, and tf2 servers should have been up and running without issues but there not. CSS works fine on the boxes and i am still in shock as to why its complaining. The mod we had was from voogru but since it only runs on windows we cant do much about it.

    Our other 2 boxes are also linux so we have 3 linux boxes. The only reason why we had windows was because of the dodgeball server. We found a replacement for it which is a alliedmodders plugin from asherkin which does in big lines the same thing but it needs fine tuning ofcourse.

    Btw i see no reason for somebody remaking the maps used in our old dodgeball server to work with the new one. Since its all open source.

    But we are here to listen to suggestions, so we can tune the one we have now, since its either this one or no one.. and i do want to make this one also popular.. and i think we can with the correct insentive.

    p.s. the new dodgeball does not allow you to have meelee/flaregun, so thats at least 1 thing thats positive because you cant kill now other players \o/

    What about the maps from the voogru mod? Would we have permision to use them and edit them?

    The moment you go to a dodgeball server you download the maps and you have them, i see no way how voogru can have copyright on that though... dodgeball server is actually full now. Alias and khadgar did some tweaking i believe.

    Don't forget Nemonorm... he is the one with the suggestions about what to tweak.
    Alias was just the sitting duck :badgrin:
    And I made it happen :)

    More adjustments may need to be made but so far..... its doing pretty well.


    Are you sure this map is working?
    Otherwise we'll need a quiet time to test it.
    I will upload it.

    Just create your own Dodgeball server? You can now since this is a public mod ;)


    Note: Just tested your map. It seems to work but:
    1) make its name tfdb_bluvsred_b4 (yes exactly like this and also its internal name)
    2) the rocket spawn is in favor of red. Since both rockets spawn at the red side blu will have to deal with two rockets. The red rocket is deflected and arrives at blu about the same time the blu rocket does.

    Put in some LZ logo's ;-)
