Quite a long watch, but worth it, especially just near the end.

What a cunt. (The dad, not the daughter)
Seriously though, he does overreact in my opinion. Getting mad about these "bad words" she used, disregarding that he was in all likeliness exactly the same when he was younger etc etc. :S

Really to be able to judge how adequate his reaction was we would have to know how it really is.

There are always two sides of a story. IF what he says its true, that was just the right way to react.

Hmm mixed feelings. It made for some great amusement and it that kid definitely had to be put straight. But I sincerely doubt this was the best way in a parent-child relation kind of way. Because this won't end here. That girl is not just going to give up saying "aww daddy, I can see I was wrong and you are so right for doing all that you did!". This is going to be a bloody war, resulting in probably even worse things.

That girl might be spoiled and perhaps deserved to hit the ground hard. The video idea was good to the point where the daddy pulled a GUN an shot it on her notebook. Until that thunbs up. Why didn't he smash it or just confiscate it. I wonder what he will do when the girl starts dating a guy that he doesn't like...

he said himself he moved out of the house by the age of 16, went to colege AND had a job ;)

i for one root for this guy, kids realy don't have ANY respect left.... especially for their parrents, who i might add cared for you, fed you, gave you a roof over your head and what not... (and in this girls situation even got a lap top wich she managed to screw up) when i heard this man talking i just wanted to smak that girl silly

and after this i'm sure she'll never dears to say anything about her parrents ever again

Couldn't be more wrong. Teen psychology 101. When a child already posts such rebellionish things on FB, she already sees her parents as enemies. She's going to have so much more reason to hate them now that she's going to loose her mind and probably do things she'll regret even more than posting that thing on FB.

Might be, but she was warned, and once you said that some would be done, as a parent you have to do it. Letting it slide by wont solve anything, and clearly "grounding" didn't help...

I don't say he shouldn't punish her, but is rather a stupid way of doing it. There are other ways between grounding and publically shooting the laptop.

No. Definitely not. He even says "your latop". There is a difference between having paid for something and owning it. He gave it to her way to easily, but it was HER laptop.
