Hello everyone. This is my first post on the forum and a complaint is probably not the best way to start, but here we go: I play almost every day on the Freak Fortress 2 Server, and from all the different hales I've seen so far, I'm sure: 1. Some of them have poorly made models Examples: Buggs Bunny Grinch (look at his face) Rappy n' Demo 2. Dozens are simply reskins of other hales Examples: Manny = GentleSpy Ghostbuster and Slimer = Witch Chucky = Fly Rappy n' Demo = Demopan (whoever made this hale didn't even remove the trade-spam rage or change it. The music is just the sound from a Youtube Gmod Video by Dr. Face: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYZhZTQ2cc8) Gumby = Bugs Bunny = Pink Panther 3. Some are bugged or have unintentional sideeffects Examples: Wall-E and Maximillian both use the Short Circuit. They are not just killing everything in front of them in a split of a second, they also make Demomen and Soldiers useless since they can simply destroy rockets, grenades and sticky traps. If you are too close to Donkey Kong or Conker when they use their rage ability, the "nausea" effect stays for ~2 minutes or longer. Hales like Garfield or the Gingerbread Man get stuck sometimes (their rage abilities resize themselves). Nevertheless, I think you guys are doing a great job, but maybe you should consider checking some of the hales.
well potato is right! i told my oppionion alrleady soon enought about many hales since i played ff2 much and i allready told about many hale swhich should get removed or just edited!
Dear Admynco, thank you for your feedback! We are aware of these things and our coders are working on fixes for these and more "problems". The short circuit plugin for example was broken by several new updates from valve. Please notice that the "To Do" list is quite long and will cost alot of effort and time of our coders. About the reskins, yes we do have some models which equal some others. It is basically meant to be a variety of hales (at the moment 30+) sothat FreakFortress can be called "FreakFortress". We hope to run the updates for Freak Fortress as soon as possible, please be patient and enjoy your time on the Lethal Zone servers! On a side note, the VsH servers are worth to play, too so give it a try^^ Greetings, Snobgoblin
Thanks for the responses. Sure the mod was created by somebody else, but the Server owners decide wich hales/freaks the plugin uses. I understand that you at LZ are quite busy with all these Servers you are running and that the SC broke is not your fault. Also I like the variety of hales, but maybe you could make certain hales more "unique" by changing their "behavior" a bit (e.g. Bugs Bunny summons Elmer's (Seeldier) with shotguns that deal less damage, just something to make it more "rewarding" to get certain hales), though this might require a bit of time which you obviously don't have at the moment. Further, I've played VsH before, but FF2 seems to be more fun for me (and the hales don't punch me from 10 meters away ).
Also, are we allowed to make suggestions concerning hales/freaks? Like, changes, new hales, which hales should be removed etc.?
I don't see a reason why not. But the people who takes care of this stuff may not care about the suggestion, but I hope that they do Don't worry they will read our suggestions... right?
"Some day there will be answers" If one single person makes a suggestion its not as important as a suggestion created by many... Maybe if we had a list of all freaks currently in the game I could ask people on the FF2 server to help me make one. To include as many points of view as possible. For now, is there a list of all freaks available?
Suggestions are always welcome - just remember there may be good reasons for not implementing all of them Here's a link to all the boss configs (~110KB)
I've already been told that not all the freaks which are on the server are available for some reason. When I'm done looking through all the configurations I'll edit my first post. Also I'm happy to see that you are open for suggestions. Edit: Somehow I'm unable to unpack the .cfg files for the hales D:
