Hello everyone, this thread is especially for all FreakFortress players. Here you can give your feedback about what is good/bad about FreakFortress and discuss about the hales (e.g. Seeman and Seeldier) I am hoping for many discussions here
Ah nice, since i dont play that often over there some feedback would be nice. I've added bosses and done the updates each time and so far i dont hear much complaints. It still needs a update to the mapcycle that saxton hale has though (and map fixes with that) should be pretty simple for me to do.
Well yes, the maps are all at the old version ( like the "hidden"wall in twinfalls where you can get behind with rocketme/flare jump/rocketjump) but it is not a big problem, because almost every Hale got a range weapon or can teleport there. I just noticed that the Spy Duo ( normally Gentlespy and Femspy ) only is Gentlespy with reduced health now. Is this wanted? There is also "little" bug with the rocket. His rockets now damage the players and do most insta kills. Normally it was just for the buildings wasn´t it?
i dont know about that 100% , i am just talking about game changer that ruin the game. greever spots, etc etc. I have updated the maps to be the same as saxton now. In the future new maps will be updated for freak the same way as it is done for saxton/saxton2.
Uhm Snel, may I ask if you can add the "Eureka Effect" and if you can, when would it be ? Cause it is really angry when I switched from VSH1 to FF and noticed my Engie still has the Eureka ( so the normal wrench ) equipped. Thanks Greetings from the Goblin
Well i actually put the wrench back in the game for saxton servers, since FF is different, i dont know if i can do the same. Not to mention that it changes a lot too. But it would make live easier for the engy's too. Still need to add a few new bosses too.
Maybe you could make a list of the OP bosses and what makes them that way. Then Snel has something to work with which will make it easier for him.
Hey i just add new bosses and i see a full server.. so in my eyes, mission accomplished or something like that. No feedback = good server. i can only do so much, if i have to go join every server and ask "is the server fine with you buddy?" then i would have no live, no money to support lz and a dead baby at home ;p
FF should be removed and whoever came up with the bosses and stuff should be buryed alive and die a slow and painful death.
Nah Echo... You have to see that FF is still in a BETA, so it is not as updated as VSH. Ah and I feel free to start the list with OP-Bosses: Name: The rocket Weapons: Rocket-Launcher, Shotgun (Rage), Fireaxe Why is this boss OP: Well, the rockets from the launcher seemed to be just for buildings from engies. Now the rockets can injure the "team" and makes it easy for hales to win with "rocketspam". A normal rocket deals one hit to kinda most classes but not at heavy I think. Name: Ass Pancake Weapons: Bat, Uber (Rage), Stun (Rage) Why is this boss OP: The "Joker" how he is lovely called by us players is op, because he hits with the dmg of "hale´s fist" and the attack speed of a scout bat. Because he is a scout, he runs faster then EVERYBODY and so it´s rather easy to win. Although he gets a 7sec uber of vagi, which can not be seen by players! So they keep on shooting him and nothing happens. My personal opinion about that is, that Ass Pancake should be removed. ( There is a second Scout Hale ( A japanesian schoolgirl, sorry don´t know the name^^) who is not that op. Name: Cuddly Heavy Weapons: Warrior´s Spirit, Bow ( Rage) Why is this boss OP: Definalety needs to get nerfed dmg with meele and nerfed arrows. The bow´s ammo is 9shots per rage -> way too many arrows, especially on maps like turrent testing. Although you can not stun Cuddly Heavy, because ( and I think most people know it now ) Heavys CAN still meele hit while stunned. Bad for the engie who wants to save his ass for example. Things to make better: Maybe add the "Stab" with bow, if it is possible. Name: Gabe Newell Weapons: Fists, Slow Motion (Rage) Why is this boss OP: It is same as with "Ninja Spy". Hale gets a 7sec slow motion where he can fly through enemys and insta kill them. Only a uber saves your butt from being kicked. It ignores Dead Ringer and sometimes a chargin targe, too. So I think there should be a nerfed Slow Motion time. And as I said with Cuddly Heavy: He can still attack while stunned. Things to make better: Maybe make Gabe more like Ninja Spy. He gets 1/3 hp per life and has 3lifes. If one life gets shot down, he gets the Slow Motion. Add an other rage? Well, these are the bosses I find OP. Feel free to add other opinions or discuss with me This is just my personal opinion ( Well, some Bosses like Rocket are not liked by the players, too; but most are just my personal opinions^^). Hey Lethal-Zone forum First would I like to say that Freak Fortress 2 is a great mod but it got its flaws. The major flaw is the OverPowered (OP) Freaks (bosses). I will list the Freaks I THINK is OP. Ass Pancake Class: Scout - Normal health Attack speed: Fast Damage vs players: ~300 Damage vs buildings: ~100 Rage: Fear and Uber Special: 2x jump Solution: Remove the Freak! Gangplank Class: Medic - Normal health Attack speed: Normal Damage vs Players: ~300 Damage vs Buildings: ~200 Rage: Fear (ALL get stunned!), Uber, Annoying picture comes up so you can't see anything and Pirate song. Solution: Remove the Freak! Aya Syameimaru Class: Scout - Low health Attack speed: VERY FAST Damage vs players: ~100 Damage vs buildings: low Rage: Super speed and instant kill Special: Reduced crits and sentries damage, Solution: Reduce her speed or remove her reductions Gabe Newell Class: Heavy - Normal heath Attack speed: Normal Damage vs players: ~200 Damage vs buildings: ~200 Rage: Slow-motion with super speed and instant kill Special: Showdown taunt, takes more damage for rage Solution: Lower slow-motion with super speed and instant kill duration Ninja Spy Class: Spy - Mid-high health (split in 3) Attack speed: Normal Damage vs players: ~200 Damage vs buildings: ~200 Rage: Fear Special: Slowmo with super speed and instant kill affter fake dead, take enemies' teleport Solution: Lower the slow-motion with super speed and instant kill duration GentleSpy Class: Spy - Normal health Attack speed: Normal Damage vs players: ~300 Damage vs buildings: ~200 Rage: Teleport + Fear + Revolver (3 bullets) Special: Fencing, take enemies' teleport, no superjump Solution: Reduce the damage vs players to ~200. This is what I think is the biggest flaw in Freak Fortress 2. You guys are welcome to agree/disagree with me There is no admins on the Freak Fortress server and when an admin join is it only for short amount of time. I think it was all... Well i hate to say it, but my support for freak fortress i minimal at this moment. I am too busy with moving servers and upgrading servers. After all our biggest box was moved on a wednesday and i got mayb 2 or 3 complaints (thats pretty nice) and i am going to do the same for another box coming wednesday. So, what i would like you "the community" to do is.. check if you can find your way with the configs that are posted on alliedmodders forum links for freak fortress. <a class="postlink" href="http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=182108" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=182108</a> it says how to make a new "freak" so if you have problems with any of the bosses like xian posted, perhaps you can find that certain config and tweak the config so it would be more "normal", i have no problems updating a config now and then.
