Maybe an weird question but how to beat it ?

Got this every year around this time, the last week of September untill the first or second week of October.
2 Weeks ago i came back from a superb holiday in Turkey can't describe it better.

And now i just feel it that this Autumn Depression has arrived, sure it's between your 2 ears, and normally after 10 or 12 days it's gone.
I will try to describe what i feel.
Its more like sadness but not really sadness, in the spring and summer i went to some great outdoor Festivals and i really enjoyed them... well when thinking about it or looking at the aftermovies or photos i get this feeling of sadness but not really sadness more like i want to go back to these days, and i could start crying actually if i think to long about it.
Some more effects are then i can sleep now 10hours and when waking up im still tired, normally im full of energy after 5 hours of sleep , im a bit irritability.
And for some reason i have a bit of this guilt feeling , i dont know why.

I did try Light Therapy but it just worked for 30minutes.
Normally i just let it come knowing in 10 days im happy as usual.
    Anyone got some suggestions ?

Perhaps go to an actual shrink and find out what is the cause is of these feelings. Must be coming from somewhere.

depression is hard to overcome especially if you don't have a clue whats causing it. now i'm not sure if you will find the solution to your problem on this forum, due the indirect communication use but every bit and suggestion helps ^^
seeing it only happens during the first few weeks of autumn and you seem to have triggers like photos from summer.
I assume you usually have lots of fun things planned in summer. perhaps the feeling of sadness is caused by missing the activities you're usually doing in summer. wishing you were going on holiday or having those outdoor festivals. some sort of homesick to those events.

don't look at them as things from the past you will be missing and won't be able to return to, but things you experienced and had a great time with. there will be plenty of time next year to attend such festivals and having new awesome experiences. don't dwell too much on the things of the past but instead embrace the present and look forward to the future, because those times are going by before you know and you'll be regretting you decide to do fun stuff on those days. maybe find something fun to do in autumn. for example i recently started doing more fun sports outside, i can look forward to that everyday :) that way autumn won't feel as empty as summer.

there are often times where we wished things gone different or we could go back to. but our life isn't short, we're not one day flies ^^ we still have a whole life ahead of us. enough time to make more awesome and memorable memories :) look forward to creating those and then remember them for what they are and not for what they were. ^^

its the change in amount of sun you recieve. in summer you had way more, and at a certain point its getting less and less. below a treshold, a hormonal imbalance starts.

well, be glad its season related, and not permanent.

Depressions arent solved by talking to just anyone. Go see a professional

The actual cause of these feeling is as DataStorm said.

Have been to my doctor a couple of times but they only say, well try Light Therapy, and that works for about 30minutes for me.
That's why im asking it, its not a depression, at least not as you probably would think of, maybe some others have the same and do have some idea's how to beat it.

Though today the effect of this Autumb depression was less, almost not there, went to a beachclub in Zandvoort with a friend of mine, chilling drink some ice cold Desperado , Corona cocktails and some great house / lounge beats.
But to pay every day 3euro for these drinks each and go to Zandvoort or some place like it isnt the way it should be, well i dont live in the near of a beach (real beach).

You don't need a beach to have some sun. you just need daily to go outside for some hours. Take up biking or some... combine things.

Embrace the fact that the seasons change, and that those great times you had in spring and summer will come again soon enough. Learn to enjoy the cleansing rains of autumn, and the harsh icy hands of winter. Look forward to things like Christmas markets where you can hang out with your friends around a fire, drinking liquor shots and stuff.

Then again, I never really had this autumn depression, so I wouldn't really know how you really feel, and how to best counter it. But hey, enjoy life while it lasts and don't waste a minute of it being depressed!
