Honestly..I never got into TF2..I never really got the hang of it either..every now and then I get a kill..And then i die about 5 times in a row..I was wondering if anyone here *TF2 playing community* can help me out a little in picking a class and getting a bit better ...classes i like to play are Scout,Heavy,Sniper and i guess Spy sometimes so if anyone can help me out in getting the hang of it please let me know on Steam when and where
It's just that you will have to play much and you will get better. People I know sometimes played 11 hours a day TF2. And they were very very good ahahahahahah
Well with my current grades and stuff i cant afford too spend so mch time on my compy *BUT I STILL WILL... -.-* Tips .. Hooray .. i mean i know the basics but i kinda have this problem where i have 1 good game in a mil bad ones..i just wanna have less bad games also Ty
How can you "get a kill every 5 deaths" if you play heavy? Ever since the spin time update, I get like 30ish kills per death. It's like hunting fish in a barrel!
pick the hardest weapons to aim with and then play untill you get kills (let's say a kpd of 1:1 or 2:1) then switch back to the normal weapon and look how much you improved ^^ (demoman - loch n load, soldier - direct hit, scout - fan/shortstop) as spy learn what soots you best (c&d, deadringer or normal cloack) for heavy try teaming up with a good medic (i never play heavy -> 20 hours playtime most of that is achievement hunting and maybe 3 hours normal play and even i can get easy kills with the bugger hahaha) pyro is also an easy "beginner" class nothing to add (w+m1 and when you see a rocket coming m2) as scout you are fast and have double jump USE IT the key is getting them to reload so you can stop and shoot them at close range (lethal) sniper explains itself haha (i suck at sniping) so if u suck with sniping go cuntsman and spam some treelogs (you'll be shitting headshots out of every hole hehe) oh and don't be afraid to call for a medic (or stay close to me when i'm medic hahaha)
*ahem* *ahem* Pyro is one of the most sophisticated and potentially most powerful class out there. Anyway, add me on Steam if you'd like, I'll try to coach you a bit
Hoho, someone beat me too starting a thread of this kind. Despite my best efforts (Youtube videos, specialized maps and so on), i remain at best on mediocre level of play. Was planning on joining a comp clan in the future but as it stands now, that's a big no no, despite me playing tf2lobby to get the feel down for comp play.
hehe it is indeed powerfull ^^ but in unskilled hands it could still do some damage ^^ (or keep the enemy away for some time hehe) spy's don't realy like pyro's and heavy's are just nervous when it comes to spy's haha and other team mates don't realy like to be on fire  also i suggest downloading tr_walkway and try to kill something without them chasing you haha (it has buttons so you can make them do lot's of things to make it harder) and last piece of advice learn to map layouts as soon as posible... med/ammopacks can be key to how you survive/kill also know the best cover places and side tunnels.
Pyro is the easiest class to play well but also is one of the hardest to master. So are scout and soldier. My advice is to play more as a soldier. He's got the needed mobility and a pretty nice damage output. Don't rush your shots and don't over-analyze everything. btw, considering 2 of the best DMers in the LZ.war teams(excluding LZ.px) are anime-watchers I have some bad news for you guys. Anime does help I should really start watching anime >.<
Pyro is pretty hard class to master, but it's quite fun if you like to eat roasted flesh. She has quite low health and has mostly short distance weapons, so if you would try to rush into a bunch of player, you will likely end up dead. Therefore you must think like a ninjaaah and act like a ninjaaaah!*So watch many kungfu, stealth and other sort of ninjah kind of movies/games* First you need to know the map layout, which paths can I take to get behind the enemy lines? how can I SUPRISE them? use the map as your advantage and remember the this: M.A.S.T.E.R Map, Ambush, Suprise! Terrify, Evacution and Resupply. (you can totally forget this, cuz i just wanted to make an abbreviation of master =D) So basically it's an ambush class, heavily depending on stealth and unguarded enemies. (don't attack a paranoid heavy, do attack a heavy from the back if he's fighting enemies from only the front (he's distracted).) Another great function (and a deadly one it is) is the airblast. Use this to extinguish your friendlies, because most of the time this will save them. Now here comes the best part: you can airblast rockets, nades, stickies, sentry rockets, players, flares and arrows! Push people of ledges, annoy ubered medics, airblast rockets back into the faces of the soldier etc. This doesn't mean you should wait till an soldier will fire a rocket at you, once he notices you keep waiting for a rocket he'll switch over to shottie and you're basically doomed, stay agressive or retreat. (or shoot him with flares or shottie mwhahah!) But yeah, to be a real pyro: - you must be ninja - you need to know the map layouts - you need to be extremely stealthy (don't give away your position too soon) - master the airblast function (it will save your life agianst explosion dudes) - you need know when to retreat. (always resupply and get health whenever you can, doesnt mean you should steal sandviches ..of your friendlies, thats BAAD!) - you must love creating Havoc in groups - you must love eating burning flesh - you must be insane (so be almost mental institution material) Oh btw, did I mention pyro is my favourite class? D: Anyways, Just pick a class you love and try working on that class. learn its demerits and advantages. Learn how well he is against an certain enemy and how bad he is against another and try to find a way to counter those! The only way to become epic is by having fun while playing.
Pyro fans ITT... If you want to really get a lot of points on a pub, pick sniper or heavy (if the team has a medic). Learn to snipe like Q or Luke and your set, (ie play >9000 hours)
Hey i jus wanted too say ty to everyone who posted their tips and took the time too do so also how did we get to pyro anyways lol? So yesterday i played a few rounds of Scout on i think ALL MAPS with Pablosky..it had like 2 good moments..i was lost on the map aswell...i rushed into heavies as if i had 1k health *wich i gradually learned not to do* .. got so excided after finally killing KTBucket after he killed me like 10 times in a row...and then i started crying when i got rocketed and my face flew straight into a random arrow... but anyways it was fun and il take the time too improve a bit
haha see you did manage to kill me (alltough i had one of my somewhat good days yesterday haha) but also keep in mind if your team sucks no matter how hard you try you will end up dead more because of their inability to play as a team ^^ (and medics who are to dumb to overheal or help other players just to get more assists on their heavy budy) like yesterday me and horpi where a very good heavy/medic combo. so take a sandvich and try to keep your medic out of harms way. if he's low on health and no medpack near you give him yours (i will reload so in a few seconds you will have a new one) i also suggest using the Gloves Of running Urgently (just to rush a bit more) and imo NEVER use the brass beast (damn thing is slow and not helpfull alltough the massive damage output) and if you have me with you as medic i will use the voip to help a bit
