Breaking rules 1,3,7 listed on this site. A nice little welcome since I haven't played on a euro db server in a long while (I play on us db). The condump will show how he was acting in nuketoss and unless everyone rtv'd to another map he would continue orbiting a nuke. That was the beginning of his **** starting. On the demo that I recorded he claimed team killing was allowed but I read on this site that it isn't.. but*** When you type !rules in dodgeball it says nothing about team killing so something is messes up some where. In the demo he team killed me twice on purpose. Intuition`yellowblood : well type rtv or this orbit stays forever. Also I found a post saying something about the easy way to contact admins would be in the lz.admin group or something? I've tried looking and only found a person by that name and no group so how I can easily find them? I found a list some where on here saying each admin for every game but know easy way to find them since steamid/profile isn't included. On a side note** I read how there's an afk auto kicker on here.. but is it working or does it take a long time? I was on with 2 others that were afk and I'm just guessing but it could have been 10min+ till one finally started playing.
Thank you for your demo, we will watch it and handle accordingly. The group that was refered to is this one : http://steamcommunity.com/groups/lethalzoneadmins It might be an idea to include this link in the ingame-messages. And for the auto-kicker, if the person is an admin, it won't kick him/her.
I will have to watch the demo later as i need to go soon but something does need to happen with yellowblood , since orbiting a nuke to get people to RTV is selfish since it was voted by the majority of people , and nobody likes people who orbit nukes forever anyway. I will speak to him and see what he has to say for himself.
Hey stephanie, I missed you already. The orbiting thing was merely a joke, and of course everyone know about solving it by using scramble. It didn't took so long either, I'd say less than a single minute until I gave up with this awesome super tactic and reflected the nuke (or got blown up, don't really remember). About tk'ing, well, not only there's no rule about it, it's a long tradition and imo part of the game as long as it kept to a minimum (meaning not tk every round, but on some rare occasions). If the admins decide it's forbidden then I obviously won't do it again, but I don't think it should be forbidden - even average skill players can deal with it quite easily only by paying attention. Besides, it's funny.
1. Obviosly not everyone thought it was a joke or it would have not been mentioned, and if people were scrambling to stop you from doing, the obviosly dissagree about the "joke" part too. 2. Less than a minute, really, that isn't long if your the one doing it. If your in *DEAD* spectator, or waiting for you too do something then yes it can feel like a long time. 3. Its really not an "awesome super tactic", its boring for everyone else on the server.
Well I understand it might was wrong but I think the rules (on the server) should be a bit specific regarding TKs / Orbiting. About the TK section in the very general rules thread, I don't think whoever wrote it even knew about TK-ing in dodgeball. Actually TK-ing in dodgeball isn't really "teamkilling", since you don't shoot at your teammate - you kill yourself and let the rocket keep going to the next player. We call it TK for convenience but it's far from the well-known TK from CS. IMO, the so-called "TK" in the dodgeball server should be allowed unless, after a single or some "TK"s, the "victom" asks the player to stop doing that. Same for orbit - allowed until at least one player asks the orbiter to stop (sometimes it's quite fun letting a full team get inside your orbit).
So if one were to ask you to kindly stop team killing you would? I highly don't believe that as I've seen countless people rage that way or since they can't play that well do that to. I've actually seen someone join the server and rite when they started playing do it and again do it countless more times.. I don't see how it should be allowed anywhere as it's really a dick move. All I want to worry about is the enemy and not worry about who is on my own team that's going to try and kill me as well. I agree that a nice little orbit can be nice as long as it doesn't go on to long. It's to bad I don't have a demo when I started playing because I remember you spiking the nuke to push me off and I'm going to bet it was on purpose just so you could harass everyone again until everyone rtv'd to a different map. I also love how you said average skilled players can catch a team kill. I knew someone that said the same thing and how I sucked since I couldn't but in reality if it's done rite then no you can't catch it and again I'd rather worry about the enemy and not my own teamates..
TK is always lame...... And orbiting well.... once in a while for a few secs maybe. Try to keep it fun, stop whining about rules. You play here a lot, you know what the Do's and Don'ts are.
I don't know steph and khadgar, I had a lot of fun doing TKs with players I know, but maybe I should just keep it with these players. Got the point so case closed I suppose.
