- #bumba challanges L-TF2 for a 6v6 practice clan war. - #bumba also challanges all other teams that are interested in a pcw and have members using this forum. - You (L-TF2) are a community, not a clan! - I've spoken with several L-TF2 players if they'd like to play a 6v6 game, a bit more serieous playing than the public, a little bit more strategy, and imo a lot more fun. All of them said: "sure make a post on the forum, we'll see from there, I'm interested" - Question is, can you organise yourself, get 6+people who'd to play a match now and then, get 1 guy who'd like to arrange things etc. - Is it possible to setup a small 3rd server, or for a few hours now and then to play some matches, or to empty the smaller public server for a while to play, or always play on the other teams' server? - If the L-TF2 team doesn't work out, are there any dutch speaking L-TF2 players who'd like to be a mercenary now and then for the #bumba team (We've only 7 players and sometimes only 5- can play) #bumba (Quakenet, IRC), or msg me with a steam-msg. Here's my opinion (it's just an opinion so i'm not saying i'm right and would love to hear some reactions from the topcats/admins/players) I get the idea and it sounds fun but i do not agree to make one of the public servers private for a while (and certainly not during the evening). Some players like the 24-slots and others the 32-slots and they are most of the time filled. (during evening, weekends, holidays) And as you said this is a community and what you want is a clan war (they are a little bit opposite) . My experience is that people like the server because most players have the feeling they can play for fun and most people are getting angry when a bunch of people (always) team up (which is not wrong of course it's a team game but I get those players their point). I also think if we start doing it for one group (bumba in this case) other groups will also ask to reserve the server for TF2 wars and the community server will become a war server. (But no one has said this cannot be the case).If so then Lethal should start profiling his server(s) in another way. The only two suggestions i have 'bout this is if you want to do this do it on a another server (perhaps a temp server hosted by lethal or another) or if this can not be done, play during the moments the server is empty (late night, morning, before noon (on weekdays) So resumed: like the idea, have some doubts for the server(s) or if Lethal is the right place for this at the moment
TF2 war? Sign me up! I know we have a warserver for cs. Maybe it can be used for TF2? Or ain't that possible.
Idd I also thought there was a war server but don't know if the TF2 server is also running on it . I think EricJuh can answer that. This would be a solution.
hey bumba its L-TF2= Lethal Team fortress 2 players, i would like to see this battlefield, maybe some admin can make a demo about it and post it on youtube
imo the discussion should not be wether or not the pubservers can be used as warservers. the discussion should imo be, do active L-TF2 players want to get more out of TF2 than just tearing the LZ servers apart. A 6v6 match brings a lot more strategy and teamwork than winning on a public and imo it's nice to do both. I ask this because i like the L-TF2 community, I like it's players and im looking forward to have a nice sparring partner for my team.

That would be great eric! Let's try it Thursday 13 december 22:00 CET? 6v6 L-TF2 vs #bumba. Just need 6 L-TF2-ers to sign up for duty in time. And 1 of them to have servercommands. (load a map, restart the map etc) Our maps is cp_dustbowl (play both sides) Your map is? gravelpit is played 2x by both sides, other maps are played 30mins or caplimit of 5 so 5-0 is gg also, hydro isnt a warmap yet i believe, but if L-TF2 really likes it we could try ;-). I hope this will work out ;]
Not gonna work out tonight is it? I'll leave L-TF2 alone for now, give me a sign if you teamed up and are ready to play a funwar sometime. Untill then i'll look u up in the publicservers with my buddies now and then. But atm I prefer the UKCS and the jolt servers more because they dont have stats that give us passive play ;-)
spoke to badtouch today he's still gonna try to get a server and 6 people before tonight, if that doesnt work out, np ill find another opponent, thats no problem.
