    Pretty sweet !
They didn't release much in the last 2 years, so they surely were busy doing hidden stuff :p.

Well the only secret was whether they'd be doing a HL:EP3 or HL3... Although it's nice, they didn't get to see what was actually in there so it could just be a collection of ideas etc, so could still be years off :(

And we know how slow Valve is

Looks promising but yeah, as Alias said, Valve can be pretty slow ^^''

I always thought people wanted a good Ep3/HL3 but all i hear is Valve time here and not soon enough there...

Wouldn't it make sense to wait for a good game?

    "Leaked"...

Sure. Just love it when those leaked updates come out. Like gaming companies are that sloppy. And if an employee reveals anything without speaking to his superior and getting the permission = sue.

Another form of hype generating. Yeah I had a long day.

That'd be some anticlimatic PR, though. Leaking the fact that there's internal mailing lists about possible successors to Valve's games. How unexpected.

Half life 2 was released like 6 years after the first episode and i didn't keep unforgettable memories of it. So I don't really think waiting 20 years for HL3 will make it awesome.

IMO, Valve shouldn't release HL3 'cause people expect way too much of it and unless Valve come up with a very innovative idea, it'll end up like Duke Nukem Forever , a disapointement (Well...exept that DNF was a huge disapointement AND a pile of crap)

couple years ago Gabe said somewhere that "the episodic system failed", which concluded that EP3 never would be there, only HL3. hence it was already known there would not be a EP3.
