Mods on DB server

    I really dislike any modding on my GUI in game, now when I go on DB, I visually see a backburner while I got the normal burner equipped, it prevented me already a couple times that I wasn't able to switch back to my primary from flare gun. Even typing in console "slot1" did not resolve it, or the "equip" commands.

    Compression blasting ppl is on i've noticed and ppl are abusing it a lot again. (pushing ppls off etc).

    And WHY 900 metal if comp blast is NOT taking any metal... at least with 200 one had hope that some flame spamming idiot would run out of ammo soon nuff in the round, with not nuff to comp blast anything. (if one goes below 25 metal, you cannot comp blast anymore) If any adjustment is to be made, it should be lowered to 100 or 50... they dont need it.

    Also mic-spammers are too annoying, there was a plugin that after so much gets auto-perm muted I tho... noticed them on other servers at least. would be handy.

    well, gonna look now for another server then :S

    I agree with DataStorm.

    LZ Dodgeball server isn't fun anymore. Backburner skin is annoying, and having so much ammo means more players spamming with the air-blast bug.

    the backburner skin came when voogru helped us sort out our dodge after a patch. we sorted out the flashing star infront of the backburner and sorted the resistance to fire. the rest we can't fix atm

    Best i can say for stopping the airblast bug people is just to warn and kick them, make it a rule first though

    We depend on Voogru for changes. Maybe Doelwit can ask him if he has some kind of fix for the backburner thing.
    As for the players I agree with Nemo. We have rules, apply them admins !

    will look for a automute plugin today

    BB bug dunno what this realy is or what to think other then you have your BB equiped at round start and can't switch weapons till the next round wich is easely fixed by using a plugin to temp remove the BB (it's a plugin to forbid the use of unlocks).

    the pushing people uhm is the plugin still installed so you can see other people's name's? there's still no plugin made that cancels out the airblast on enemy's

    the name plugin isn't there anymore. and kick, dunno if you get the BB problem? but it's that you see a backburner, while you actually are holding your normal flamethrower

    It's not a problem , it's a ''feature'' implemented with the last db update.
    Can be turned off if i'm correct , but i cannot test atm.
    Will look into it this weekend.

    think khad will gladly help doel ;) you don't have to do all the hard work all the time! that's why we keep khad around :badgrin: :lol:

    @kill haven't played on the server in a while but if it's a feature on the plugin it's not that big of a problem ;)

    answer to the BB bug hassle so far:
    - I have ALWAYS the normal burner equipped. I never use the BB, in normal play I use the comp blast to deter ubers etc.
    - I changed weapons from burner to flare, after that I could NOT go back to burner, whatever I tried. (pressing 1 for slot1, typing slot1 in console

    And there was a server side text file somewhere where you can say which weapons are allowed... disallow the BB if that was some sort of problem you wanted to address.

    like i said there's a plugin that disables use of unlocks so when some player has his BB equiped it get's stripped and problem solved :D (dunno if it can be used to equip the flaregun because shotty is useless on DB ;))

    backburner skin should be disabled now + everything is as it used to be. please check, could be a server reboot is needed for it to become active.

    well, a lot has improved I've noticed :D

    one thing tho, the textures etc for the nuke isn't been pushed to new players. I had cleaned it out for I had been on some server with a lot of plugins by accident....

    strange sight to see the word "Error" with a afterburner flying arround.

    error message is a personal problem if I'm not mistaken. I've had it when the DB just got up. but it disappeared after a week or so

    just missing textures in the map (had this wile playtesting some customs and can't realy say why some textures are missing)

    the textures are a seperate download, but the server is not giving 'm. they are NOT within the map what's missing is:

    ..\team fortress 2\tf\models\TFAdmin\dodgeball_fatboy\ *

    and:

    ..\team fortress 2\tf\materials\TFAdmin\models\dodgeball_fatboy\ *

    to push to the client.

    the map refers to those textures & models for the nukes.

    Checked the server and indeed these files were not present.
    The old Dodgeball did have those so I copied them now.

    Let me know how it turned out.
