Hey, im totally new to Lethal-zone , so i've might posted this in the wrong section, but i was wondering. IS THERE ANY, paticular server/way to train up your airshots?, besides MGE, where i mostly get my butt kicked :doubt: by the ALOT better players, i ATLEAST CAN do some airshots so im not a totally beginner, just curious because i'd like go get better, without getting butt-f*****. Thanks, -Fanern
Hmh yeah well MGE probably is the best way but there is also the map tr_walkway and im sure I saw some airshot training maps on our servers. Anyway, if you get beaten at MGE, play it more so you get better Otherwise: tr_walkway
Alright, thanks for the replies guys, if you want to (i know you will, in most cases) beat me come add me, we'll take a little MGE play. link under my avatar
Nor walkway nor tr_airshot will help you, unless your enemy team exist out of retards who can't strafe. Ctf_bball2 and MGE are the only ones where you know you're fighting against skilled people, and in ctf_bball2 (or any other bbal map) people rocket jump the most. Well, walkway and tr_airshot might help you at basic level, but if you can airshot people who can strafe, those maps are way to easy. However I don't think it'll help you much in fights against real people. However I doubt that people still play bball much, it's only played in private games at high level. Nowadays most bball servers who don't have item restrictions attract demo knights and soldiers with other rocket launchers than the standard one. And standing beneath the basket shooting a rocket up and hoping your enemy will strafe in it doesn't count, Pablo.
Thank you, all of you, for the replies, yeah bbal isn't the best if you want to get good at airshots, but if you're a beginner, it's a great start from there. Allthough as mention'd above, im not a beginner  Anyway thanks for the replies again! -farnen
If you play with me you get irregular jumping lines. I mean, I even do things like "fake jumps" and stuff.
It -IS- one of the best things out there for airshot practise. Noobs can't airshot me, divs 2-3 even have problems with some jumps I make. At least that's how it was before I met League of Legends. Now I'm only confident in bball, but in all honesty, TF2 doesn't really matter to me any more.
Well, from the maps side, I'd suggest you tr_rocket_shooting2 and tr_walkway tr_rocket_shooting2: http://www.gamebanana.com/maps/66113 tr_walkway(You probably already downloaded this one): http://www.gamebanana.com/maps/107794 Now, if you'd like to actually learn how to airshoot, the Pway a Weal Cwass series (Which consist of three parts, unfortunately the third one, which filled some gaps from the second part, was taken down thanks to UMG) Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZI29xEnfTzI Hope these will help! EDIT: Forgot to mention that Pway a Weal Cwass is also a series for playing Soldier in general (The correct way).
Thanks for the links, allthough i forgot to mention that i can go get those maps easily myself, i appreciate your time making this, also the fact "if you'd like to actually lern how to airshoot," I can airshot, in some cases. But ofcourse, it's all training, thanks to the other replies guys
