Well hello, couldn't think of a better place so just posting it here. Youtube recently has this new link: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtu.be" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">www.youtu.be</a> You only get it when you press the "share" button to copy the direct link from the video. However this new link will not work with the youtube function we have on the forum. I wondered if anyone could do something about it, since I use a lot of playlists, which fuck up the url of the video so you can't easily copy the link from the video from the url bar from the browser. Thanks
Lemme see if I can add this over the weekend. need to check the html code for the bb code in the forum for it
<div align="center"><object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://youtube.com/v/NisCkxU544c&fs=1?hd=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param></param><embed src="http://youtube.com/v/NisCkxU544c&fs=1?hd=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="385" allowfullscreen="true" ></embed></object></div> Friendly bump.
It's not that simple unfortunately, the format had changed for youtube. Youtu.be and youtube.com use different formats for embedding :S
And you'd think they'd think things like this through. They know they're vids get embedded everywhere. They even give shortcuts for all the social media things...
Well it's easy to create seperate bbcodes for both .com and .be url's. And for new videos that won't be an issue, but we need to make sure older posted videos don't get broken by a new bbcode. And to use 2 seperate bbcodes for youtube is a bit unnecessary, so we're still looking for a different solution..
