Well and for that theres Google. but still... im sure some people dont know how to correctly search a tutorial on google.
The reasons why I don't have a smartphone is that they are expensive and I don't want to be one of those people.... I actually just realized that I don't really even use my cellphone. But when it comes to computers, I regret nothing!
Yeahhhh no. He's right in saying kids access computers, phones and tablets too early, but the remainder is bullshit. If you're a grown-up, you're supposed to be able to handle your life, and distinguish the real world and the virtual one. If you can't then you have a problem like any person who's addicted to anything. Plus I don't like the usage of this color filter and sentimental music.
I do really hate it when I'm in a room of "friends" and everybody is starting at their phones. And antou, the big big problem is that we are raising the current generation without the correct tools to make that distinction.
You just kill a cow to get some leather. Then you...oh. It is so true that young adults are becoming more and more obsessed with the digital age, considering you have well known names such as Stephen Fry, Jessie J, Mike Bithell etc on Twitter amongst other social media websites. However among using technology, I like to read books, play guitar, play snooker with friends and talk and share experiences with friends.
This almost never happened to me ; sometimes one guy is on his phone and gets isolated, but not everybody. Maybe because I'm (slightly) older than you ? Yes, I guess he should have put the emphasis on that part instead of trying to make people worry about loosing their chance to find a girlfriend in the street. Same. I'm rather active on Facebook and other social media, but that doesn't keep me from having a normal life. That's why I really don't like the way he generalizes things.
I've got the same thing in my class. There's about 3 people I'd say that cannot live without their phones out of about 27. I look at myself as very isolated, but there's more to it than just a screen blocking my view of the world. The whole reason why I put a screen between my eyes and the world is because it's become unbearable bleak and conflicts with what I believe in (In more than one aspect (You'll have to excuse this post,it sounds overwhelmingly emo(which is why I'll limit it here))). (And don't give me none of that Third World stick mofo,Shadow can testify that most of the youth have access to modern tech ) Boy what a mess,I'll go sleep now...
Not getting into this Both parties are right and wrong in my opinion, but taking sides here is not the answer.
Same here, I got 7 friends and each of them has a some kind of screen in front of them. Two of them are playing DS and the rest are playing with their phones. It would be fine if I wasn't so isolated, I just want to chat about video games
Not sure if others still had things to add. Wasn't much of a discussion, more collection of statements.
I see it too. It's like a mutilated creature from hell. On-topic: I've been working with computers since I was a kid and was one of the first people I knew having a smartphone. Never had a problem putting my phone away and talking to people. I do agree with the video in that it's all getting a bit out of hand, just not as bad as they picture it.
