    http://www.multiplaying.net/platform/general/ea-removes-a-game-from-steam-slap/

one of the many news topics on this.

so what do you think about EA's actions?

IMHO i think it sucks, steam allong with all it's flaws is a good base to store and buy games. allong with the direct pay the offer belgian players now it became my favorit program to use haha ( i don't even bother going to the store to buy games i just get m on steam) and this all because of some shit about DLC's

take magicka for example, it has a shitton of DLC's and steam offers them all and you can buy 'm ingame. EA now has the same ingame thing, but refused steam to offer it.

ok an now the reason why i started it is the new "Dragon Age II Legacy" DLC. to start of it was EA's fault bioware released an unfinished game. so so batlles with weird enemy's popping out of thin air, some story ellements could have gotten more tought and work, recycled dungeoN (no i didn't forget the s it's literaly 1 dungeon) and so on.

on one side i don't mind it but i realy starting to loose my love (if i ever had any to start with) for EA

(and now i have to wait a week for my money to transfer to my paypal so i can buy the DLC)

first i liked the ea games, then they got shitty due milking processes etc, then they popped out some more fun games like dead space and then they started to get their own platform and pulled of older games from steam etc... so basically its more of an on/off relation between me and EA. sometimes they have some cool games but they're definitely not on my "like" list for devs :p more on my "meh" list.

I think it's stupid though that they're gonna make games exclusive to their new Origin thing, which i will probably never install. its for a huge turnoff for me to buy their future games or games that they have pulled off from steam.

@storyelements and stuff: uhh..isn't that more the fault of bioware instead of EA? i mean bioware made the game, EA just publishes it.

*EDIT: wait, what?! They removed Alice from steam too now? ...sigh, I still wanted to play that game... well EA, FLIP YOU!

nope ;) bioware even apologised for the problems and what not in DA2 (such as the copy/paste dungeons) and even stated it was because of EA pushing them to get the game released a year after origins: awakening. now the new DLC has A LOT of new things i hear (new monster and few new areas's -> few hours more playtime) but i hoped for a dungeon pack (free) but thats wishfull thinking. so all in all EA are just money horney twats

Well, it would have been best if Bioware would have had the money to stay independent I guess. Oh well. :S

    EA are just money whores.

All of their games that are online, if you want your own server they make you pay stupid amounts of money for them as they are tied in with deals on multiplay and such.

I'm not fussed, I'll just get the CD copy if i want a game from EA that bad.

Also EA charges users for using the the full benefits of their mediocre Origin platform (a monthly fee) what the hell!? They are ripping off Steam because they think they don't need to pay Valve for publishing. Now they screw up all their steam customers.

EA were steadily going down the last few years, so now this is their last effort to stay in line. They are making a big mess at the moment. :(

Whell aint it kinda obvius that EA wants his own platform to sell games at, steam sellin theyr games for free I dont think so. One less middleman whith greedy fingers....I resived email few days ago that im chosen to Alpha testing Battlefield 3. I had to download theyr platform that seems to be on beta stage at the moment it,s cald origin. Basicly the same as steam think I can purchase my EA games online there like this upcomming BF3.
