Does anybody know if there is a way to permanently de-mark any sub-forums you don't want to get an update from? I keep getting annoyed over that i de-mark the entire forum only to get updates from other places i'm not so interested in Halp? A cookie for your trouble
Don't know if we're talking about the same thing here, but I use the 'mark forums read thing' on the right side of lethal zone information. I answered that completely wrong, didn't I?
That is the temporary fix and the one i am currently using yes so i am aware of the function, haha. The thing i am looking for though is a more permanent solution, since i don't have anything to do with CS for example: i don't want to see any updates from it. Makes it a bit easier for me to keep tabs on any relevant sub-forums i want to follow.
If you don't watch it, then just leave it highlighted. You won't even notice it anymore after a while. Unless you're one of them people who uses the "latest posts" function. But hey, that's digging your own grave.
Hurr durr, no. From the days when i was forum-lurking a lot i quickly learned to turn that of. But still i kind of find it annoying and always have. Most probably always will too. Oh well, since there doesn't seem to be such a functionalty, i guess i just have to make do
Doelwit, is there a way to set on which topic you would like to see which are unread? For instance, if you're a die hard CSS player who doesnt give a damn about TF2.... can it be set that you can ignore these sections? Thats basically what you're asking right? For myself I am using the View Unread Post option to check and skip the topics I dont want to see.
If you truly care about lethal zone you read every post related to it 8) The only way I navigate the forum is through the new posts button. Just click that, read the threads you want and leave the rest unread. They won't show up in new posts until there's a new post since your last visit
This is exactly what i am looking for! It's a very small thing really, but getting updates from non relevant threads has always seemed... A bit redundant for me.
It's way easier to subscribe to the subforums you actually want to receive instead of me/us trying to find and install an mod and triplecheck if it works, layout doesn't get fucked up etc. The buttons are there, just use them correctly.
Ive sort of got used to ignoring any new posts in the forums im not interested in, my eyes just slip right over them
