Whilst most of us that want to do a pickup game, use mIRC. Some people made a web application for it. Ripped from the Steam User Forums:
 No more people asking me 'HOW DO I FCKIN JOIN MPUKTF2.PICKUPPZZ!!?!?' finally! Anyway, looks pretty nice. Let's try that out.
Signed up, joined a lobby and played. Works pretty good, only DO notice the "region" on the right. I didn't so I joined an USA server, ping over 150 FTW <3 (still got kpd over 3.0 though, those american's suck at TF2).
sweet, gonna try that out later on. very nice to see some new developments for the competitive community, IRC is getting really outdated let's hope it has some succes
Would be nice to see a version with support for 9vs9 highlander (one slot per class) games. I've never been able to find a server that plays such.
Hm... looks pretty neat indeed. At least now I don't need to install IRC and Ventrilo now. Also: Lol, FLOOR_MASTER...
hmm, with that site, how does choosing servers work? Would be interesting to use one of our own servers for pickup using this system. One of our own players will be the pickup leader and have acces to the server stuff. Good idea?
Okay I dont get enter the code bit :S But seems a good idea, maybe get rid of one of the fast respawn servers and try this out if it can work.
ye, i've tried it. you can easily specify which server to use for it if you're the lobby leader. That does mean though that that leader needs admin access to the server.
Yeah you need the Server IP, Rcon (im guessing thats some protocol sever thing) and the map... But yeah, think you have to ask them?
Put that code in your steamprofile or steam friends name. It is used so that it links the login to your steamaccount. You can delete the code after it is registerd.
