Police warfare is an extremely intriguing concept that is being developed by a new team of veterans from the industry. Some of them have worked on top AAA titles like Far Cry 3, Gears Of War, Crysis 1/2, Assassin's Creed 2, Medal Of Honor: Airborne, Golden Eye, Killzone 2, and Grand Theft Auto 4. They have worked at companies such as Ubisoft, Epic Games, Electronic Arts and Crytek. I'm looking forward to this more than any other big kickstarter project, lets make sure they make their goal! Check out their kickstarter page for more information. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pol ... ce-warfare Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PoliceWarfare Twitter: https://twitter.com/#!/ElasticGames Email: [email protected] Website: http://elastic-games.com/
So they start making a game but then "don't have any money" to make it into full production. I'm sure. The only contribution I'd make is buying the game, maybe. Looks nice though, but games like this to me seem to be those ones where everyone gets an idea of what it's going to be like; tactical, teamwork etc. But it turns out to be totally different.
Looks like an interesting game, hopefully with the developers that there is on this project it will turn out to be a good game.
I dont like them taking Battlefield 3 (huge failure) as an inspiration for how "large" scale combat is supposed to work. HOWEVER they are asking for kickstarter support and that directly binds them to the money givers which are not big publishers like EA in this case, but the real customer. That sounds very promising and forces them to take the public opinion more into consideration. It might turn out as a *real* game again, and that is something I may even consider to spend some money on. If the kickstarter concept for independent game developers becomes more popular over the years, big publishers will also be forced down to deliver higher quality products again. I like the way this is going.
looked nice when it reminded me of the old squad 4 game. that was awesome and tactical. but then he said it would be multiplayer and that kinda lowered my interest. would have prefered if they went for a singleplayer game rather than an Multiplayer game. but oh well. we'll see how it turns out.
My hope is that if it ends up being a decent game they will have a decent anti-hack, unlike Crysis 2 which was completely riddled with hackers and then after about 1 month there was no multiplayer servers at all.
The kickstarter page got cancelled. No explaination for why when I last looked. perhaps they got some publisher or something else?
Email: Hey Guys, Thank you so much for the incredible response to the game. We're shutting down the kickstarter account but this is by no means the end of Police Warfare. News will be coming. -EG TEAM
Yeah they wern't making enough for it. Not surprising though, over a year until the game gets released, no way I would want to do that, someone way more awesome could come out around then - plus it just looks like your average FPS.
hm weird, must have been something else then. I can remember seeing something with as goal 100.000 and it had received over 3 million already.
depends on the project. I saw an project which was made by student still on a game design study, using rpg maker and its assets to create a game. it was his first game and it got thrice the amount of money than they needed Spoiler
