Not sure if alot of people know about this, I found this while randomly browsing. It's a plugin that allows you to easily record demos, it names them by DATE_time.dem The nifty part is that it will keep track of long killstreaks in a txt file, you can tell it to record stuff automatically and you can put marks in a txt file that allows you to mark a nice airshot in the demo. http://etf2l.org/forum/general/topic-6647/page-1/ http://orangad.com.ua/?page_id=2 http://orangad.com.ua/?page_id=4
Using it a long time already. (thanks to that my TF folder includes over 5GB demo recordings. ) It automatically records when both teams ready in tournament mode.
no, it records also normal games. From first start of the map till mapchange... got a lot of those already in my directory, and I just wondered why it would be more useful as spy
Yeh the default setting is it only records tournement demos, but you can change that by typing these. * (prec_mode 0) Don’t record at all * (prec_mode 1) Record only when name of the next demo is set by user * (prec_mode 2) Record games with tournament mode enabled * (prec_mode 3) Record all games
2.0 Beta is out. Changes include: -added basic support for Counter-Strike:Source -added UI options (in options->multiplayer->advanced) -added basic support for SourceTV record (prec_recordstv 1)
I hoped they would verbose the logs :S with : death tick, spawn tick, and every tick you killed someone... with per life a stat. Way more usefull if you want to record stuff. I have now to verbose it prec_mark in use to state in the logs what class I am by putting those commands at the class.cfg's. it will look then like this: [2010/06/25/ 22:18] Sniper ("20100625_2218_ctf_2fort_ds_" at 1199) [2010/06/25/ 22:24] Kill Streak:5 ("20100625_2218_ctf_2fort_ds_" at 17582) [2010/06/25/ 22:33] Kill Streak:4 ("20100625_2218_ctf_2fort_ds_" at 56277) [2010/06/25/ 22:34] Kill Streak:9 ("20100625_2218_ctf_2fort_ds_" at 62737) [2010/06/25/ 22:37] Soldier ("20100625_2218_ctf_2fort_ds_" at 74925) [2010/06/25/ 22:34] Kill Streak:5 ("20100625_2218_ctf_2fort_ds_" at 76571) [2010/06/25/ 22:38] Scout ("20100625_2218_ctf_2fort_ds_" at 77922) [2010/06/25/ 22:38] Demoman ("20100625_2218_ctf_2fort_ds_" at 81518) etc... makes it way more easy to see back what I did where and with what class. but I would like to see date/time *spawned as class: Sniper* @ tick date/time *Killed %enemy% by %weaponname/etc%* @ tick date/time *Killed %enemy% by %weaponname/etc%* @ tick date/time *Killed %enemy% by %weaponname/etc%* @ tick date/time *Killed %enemy% by %weaponname/etc%* @ tick date/time *Killed %enemy% by %weaponname/etc%* @ tick date/time *died* @ tick date/time *stats of life: killed 5 in life, of wich 3 in fast streak within 15 seconds. date/time *spawned as class: Scout* @ tick etc
I don't know if Duck's coming back to this topic, but apparently the Prec 2.0 beta has basic CS:S support.

I know, and I have "latest", just a shame to see it go, and I saw comments that it wasn't working anymore on ppl, and if support is gone :S.
