hmmm what about.... first removing all those idiotic props like the huge stairs, the huge pile of wood etc. and ehhh ill let you hear when i know somthing
uh only real anoying thing i can come up with is the voice-icon when alltalk is enabled, cause it so much fun telling joke's and stuff but not when they find you because of this. and yeah maybe remove some of the bigger props, cause the big piles of wood for instance... they aren't clipped so it's kinda easy to spot. except for this it's plain old fun always have a blast when i just blend in and they can't find me hehehe
would be nice if its possible that people dont have to sit out. Now people have to be spec for a full round before they can join. I know this is normal arena behaviour but i see no reason why the props or pyro cant use another person in the team without giving a big advance over the other team.
Hey Geit, Really love the prophunt so lets see what I can come up with. - make it possible to "play" alone, this way its less annoying waiting till someone comes around and you can scout the map while waiting searching for new hiding places - Please.. PLEASE create and add some smaller maps which are fun to play with less then 10 players. Maze is a good size and so is Warehouse only the last one is impossible with only a few players. Couple of small/medium-small maps are welcome. - Talking about maps, please dump the cyberpunk map since nobody seems to like it. Tried it multiple times but it so ugly and bugged that its removed from the cycle again. - A cvar to make it possible for players to select which prop the are, for example sm_propselect 0/1 gives server admins the option to enable/disable the prop select menu. Downside on this is that lots of smaller props would get selected (unless there is a way to limit the numer of identical props) so a better option might be a command to select another random prop like "!newprop" or something. This would bring more fun to the players since they have the ability to change prop when they dont like it. Should be limited in usage then e.g. 1 or 2 times each round and only during hiding time. - Remove the sit-out and make uneven teams (1 player difference) possible since this wouldn't effect gameplay (Snelvuur beated me in posting this I noticed) - Perhaps add an option to "whistle"?. In CSS hide and seek mod there was an option for it to attract opponent attention. Now I use the "Medic" option for this but would like to see a more appropriate sound. - Create an option (or manual or tool) to easily add/remove props for a map - Create an option to see which classes are allowed on blu and which weapons. - Create an option which removes the need to keep the right mouse button pressed down. Make it a single click on/off like THIS URL does. - Reward surviving props with points - How about creating a kind of bounty system? Each prop you find will give you a point, finding two or three in a row gives multiple points. These points then can be used to buy hints during the round like a short beacon or an image of which prop one of the randomly selected opponent is. In return the props can use their points for counter measures like a 5 seconds freeze of one of the opponents. Just thinking up loud but maybe it gives you new ideas Probably can come up with more stuff
what happened to me and what I think sucks is that f.e. I'm a pile of small rocks, people who walk over me, will run into my invisible scout body and because of that now that I'm a prop... otherwise they wouldn't have know. imo hiding in plane sight is the most fun, but that gets blocked because of this...
sitou is the most anoying bug (not realy a bug but you know what i mean) i had to sit out 2 rounds because i WON the game So if i let myselfe be found i wouldn't have to sit out...
about the map size.. just make it so that you cant choose a certain map if there are not xx number of users on it. I think this is possible with some voting scripts out there already though. So only allow those maps to be chosen if you have more then say 10 players.
Problem is that there aren't many small maps included which are fun to play with only a few people on the servers :roll:
well then it would be almost impossible to find you now wouldnt it? i gues thats just necisary. and one thing i have to add, in lots of maps some roofs cant be walked on, it would be great if this was possible because now i oftenly just run to a roof finding a invisible wall. besides that i completely agree with khadgars statements
you know you are holding a flamethrower,right? with the mouse you can make a nice fire... a fire that scouts hate
I don't think it's that easly to create...they have to delete the whole body, skeleton and hitboxes or something and make custom hitboxes etc to fit the object... and since you're not only one single object... signed @ Khads post, i would love to see those happening^^
maybe if they can code that everyone looks like friendly's but separate teams (because reds can't bump into reds -> nice spycheck btw)
WIP - Small (3000x2000 ish) Swamp map intended for smaller servers/lower amounts of people. 2 out of the 5 hours i've allocated spent on it so far As per request.
I remember having played a swamp map before but I heard it was very bugged and therefore removed. Is this a newer version and if so, where can I get it?
Swamp was abandoned because it had too much water to be pratical (Dark likes to put dubious amounts of water in his maps). Marsh is a new map which is focused around fair hiding gameplay, like I said, it is currently WIP, I should have it done by the weekend though.
