Proposal for a friendly match from the Hampshire Heavies

    Hi, I'm Sam from the Hampshire Heavies, a European TF2 community. I was wondering if you might like to have a highlander match on a Sunday evening fairly soon? 21st August is our next free slot.

    The teams would be composed of players of varying skill levels from each community. 9v9 highlander, weapons released with the Uber update or since then banned, each team chooses a map. We have a server with SourceTV and there will be a live stream with commentary. One of your guys can co-commentate as well.

    If you guys are interested in this, please let me know and also choose a team organizer who I can talk to to sort things with. :)

    Noone please take this the wrong way but shouldn't we have our best regulars play in this match since its a community v community( you will be playing for the WHOLE community). I'm sure the HH guys will be doing the same. Again please dont take this the wrong way.

    We won't have our very best players in our team. We tend to get signups on a first come first served basis - it works out in the end because the people most interested in playing are the people most interested in doing well.

    So yeah, as I said earlier, we have a mix of a skill levels in our teams. :) Though we try to get one or two experienced guys who can lay out a strategy.

    According to your list I'd be a scout, that's not really my best class... I wouldn't mind trying though ^^ .

    So you decided to follow the "first arrived first served" idea too ? Because I'm sure there's a lot more people that could be interested !

    Couldn't we make it a double? I'm pretty sure HH could get a 2nd team up as well. Double the action double the fun. As highlander needs to be played more.

    Also, I could be backup demoman for whoever you pick.

    Not possible. We will be playing a different community the following week.

    That will cause a big delay when switching teams over... we'd rather play against one cohesive team.

    If you want another highlander match you're welcome to contact the other TF2 communities we have had matches with - Triggerhappy Gamers, Special Attack and Uberium.
