The ultimate cool game: FULL THROTTLE (first game played completely out, when I was a kid)
Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, the community isn't really active anymore. So finding good, non-mod, servers is a pain in the hole.
Nerf Arena Blast, a "cartoon" FPS that I discovered too late to enjoy the multiplayer Also, the first Call of Duty was cool !

League Of Legends. Free MOBA game. And there is this new Multiplayer FPS that's free. Can't remember the name, has a lot of gamemodes, and a lot of different classes.

League of Legends - Best free MOBA game. Active community although a bit immature, 'unlockable' heroes (buy them for ingame currency or real money if you're impatient). Talent trees like in WoW for further customization. Quake Live - Free to play fps in your browser. Yes browser. Incredibly well done, best browser game. controls and framerate is very smooth. Other than that, it's pretty much Quake 3, but the web interface makes finding games and joining friends easier than in Q3A. StarCraft II - Currently the best rts on the market. Don't try to prove me wrong. Very good online matchmaking system that will give nearly every player a 50% win/loss ratio (except for the best of the best). Balanced races and a good campaign mode (although you will want to play the original SC to understand the campaign) Warcraft III - Not as popular as it used to be now that SC2 is out but used to be one of the, if not the, best competitive rts games. Incredible story/lore in the campaigns.
