Hello there, I am archy, mapmaker (first project actually) and i used to visit the LZ public servers regularly. I have always enjoyed playing on your pub servers for several reasons. But I still have to improve my map which consumes a lot of time... and therefore I couldnt play on the LZ pubs for a rather long time already. However, I am pretty sure that your pub servers still have the qualities that they used to have when I still played. So I'm kindly asking if it was somehow possbile if you guys could run cp_collis on a suitable server (ALL MAPS #1/#2)? The map is now in its seventh beta stage. I didnt ask earlier for this kind of favor because I wanted to reach at least some level of quality of collis. cp_collis_b7a2 (I know.. akward version and I am sorry, but I couldnt call it differently) is the very first version of collis that I wish to become really well known. It has been optimized several times, all the known gameplay issues/problems have been fixed so far and several people stated that they enjoy playing my map, in 6v6 and public. So i thaught I could give it a try and kindly ask if collis could possibly be played. Looks like a very decent map. Perhaps we can do the same as we did with Arnolds new map. We get every person we know on the server, and you bring some friends and then we switch maps to collis and have great fun with all regs without having the risk of emptying the server because of the "customfobia" a lot of random players have.
agreeed, i think we should have say like a custom day (what we used to have before) but then a chance for custom map mappers to play there map. Map makers can contact me to get there map uploaded to the servers. We should pick a day which is best for everybody, and then on that day a admin should manually change the map to the correct map. If a admin is not present, then a map maker should have the possibility to issue a "calladmin" request to get a admin present to change the map. Sounds like a plan no? (btw kick the bucker, if manually change the map to nextmap, when votes comes it still overwrites it.. so a nextmap needs to be changed after the vote is done it seems. Dont know if there is a better way)
In the admin menu there are 2 change map options, one sets the nextmap to change after the time limit (and is so over written by the vote) and the other changes the map instantly so the vote doesn't matter.
it's change map and set next map ^^ but mapvot/chooser (the vote plugins) work with setnextmap to that's why the vote overides any choice it makes before the vote appears ( i could implant a menu to temp disable the vote plugin so it should be loaded on mapchange again)
