I tried it but didnt get it.. . yes its awesome, I guess this was a massive work and I'd like to know what Level the designers are on.
This is almost no design, this is pure programing and use of plugins...if you wanna do something like this learn MEL script or Python (for maya at least). Search around for tuts, there are lots of them.
I saw some Tutorials on youtube where you can create simulations pretty much like that, only for 1-2 of these animations. Sometimes it looks really like a Cinema 4D creation, but I guess if I'd render this in C4D it would take month... I got some Python Plugins for c4d,.. the "designer" created there own didnt they for this movie?
I think you mean animate/ render is for the final movie result. Animating that is nearly impossible. The perfect synchronized is done with scripting, c4d has other language but not familiar with it. The more organic stuff are plugins like realflow, very easy just put in your physical parameters and see the awesomeness, tweak, render and put a texture/lighting on it in Maya or c4d.
So it is... well why do they call them then in the movie " we called 20 international designer and sound editors". If its like you said they are more like scripter... however its pretty sick,...
Boring. I enjoy the audio FX, the animations are pretty and all, but in most of the animation I don't see any relation between audio and visual. It sure is impressive, but I just don't get the sense of it.
Oh antou I'm so glad you said that. xD Didn't want to be the first one to react like that, but I totally agree with you. xD I can appreciate the art and work that has gone in to it, but I wouldn't ever watch it for fun
"20 international animators and studios" I'm not implying that everything is done with scripting but certainly the cool effects and textures. Why the narrow-mindedness here, this is just Video Art, if it isn't your thing so be it. It doesn't have a narrative story line, but a feeling, emotion and brings a new experience. Wat I don't get is that you can not hear a relation between music and image...You clearly see that it is animated on the music. If every sound would be explained by an image: you don't create something, you just escort the image and THATS boring (like many emotional dripping movies). You can create two worlds with image and sound that interact with each other, makes it more interesting to watch. Other video art: [vimeo]1351285[/vimeo] [vimeo]15395471[/vimeo] Kill: you like Nickelback...so the music taste isn't an issue anymore
I like music. The vid only had 10 sec fragments of sound. Usually not music, but the sound of something that expanded, shrinked, blew up, got a different shape etc. It wasn't pleasant to listen to. It was not meant to be music you'd put up to relax (I hope), so there is no problem. It was an experiment, not a music clip. Still, as I said, I can appreciate the creativity, but I would never ever put this up to experience joy or relaxation, which is kinda why I put on music.
The visuals are overall pretty impressive and the audio does reflect on the visual and vice versa and is pretty well done. though I did not really have the feeling that was watching "the film", due they were quite disconnected from eachother by their title screens. it felt more like Resonance: the compilation than Resonance: the film.
hahaha thats cool. I have tried this for myself, and dont flame I am a noob animator learned all the stuff myself in cinema 4d [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCOImJM4RhE[/youtube]
Sure, I did see that. But there's just no rule, no context. On most animation, movement is only random so it's not very interesting. I know art requires everything but rules or context, so I won't say it's a bad experiment ; I just say I don't love it . On the other hand, I'm very interested in music/sound creation, so at least I enjoyed that part (but I still didn't go further than 5 minutes in the video).
