Retro gaming, oh how you've been neglected.

Anyone play any retro games nowadays? And i'm not talking about retro as in LOOKS retro,
I mean retro as in, on original consoles (Things like NES, C64, Atari 2600 etc.)

If so, put you favourite system, game, and why!

My favourite is the SNES, with Super mario world, just for the pure nostalgia factor :D

Darn I want to play pokemon red, I used to play it when I was like 5 years old and I couldn't understand anything what the characters were saying or anything about the story xD
Four of my pokemon were bug type pokemon, I think I had: Beetrell, Kakuna, Charmander, Butterfree, Caterpie and Geodude.

Is Rayman 1 and Digimon world 1 retro? Digimon world is still my favourite game.

I have a lot of consoles (From the Atari 7800 to some of the most recent) but my favorite is by far the SNES with TLoZ : A link to the past and Megaman X.

Snes: Killer Instinct, any mario game, F-Zero
I love old gameboy games: Donkey Kong (the original with mario climbing ladders), Super Mario Land 1,2,3 (Wario Land B))

Can the first playstation be considered as retro gaming? If so: MEDIEVIL! ABE'S ODDYSSEE/EXODDUS! CRASH TEAM RACING!

There is a nice bundle on steam as well, got that on sale for 1 euro or something.

Some classics I played back then and still play now and then:

Gargoyle's Quest (GameBoy), Zelda (NES+SNES), Street Fighter II, Final Fantasy III (or VI depending on NA or JAP counting), ... (SNES) Commander Keen, Commandos-Series, Wizardry VII, Eye of the beholder-series, pre-Bethesda Elder Scrolls, ... (PC)

Friend of mine bought some arcade gaming machine with around 200 classics on its hard drive, that's some hilarious fun to be had: Pong, Bubble bobble, Giana sisters, ... tons of other C64, Amiga, Atari ... classics.

I still grab my gameboy advance from time to time to play a bit, tetris, mario anything.
I can also play mario cart, F-zero or other ported games to the GBA.

On the PC I Still love the old shooters like Duke 3d etc.

I had a nes working as well, but recently it seemed to stop working :<
i used to play teenage mutant turtles, duck tales or castlevania.

This! Hugo's Haunted House of Horrors! I remember playing this game for hours and still getting stuck at the same part over & over again.

Recently digged through some Cabinets in our house with my Brother, and we found our N64 With all of our old games (Banjo Kazooie, Donkey kong 64, (Mario 64-Cart and party) James bond:Golden eye) Ect. dont wanna Type em all down, But those in general are my Favorites, but def Banjo Kazooie for 100% Favorite literally lasted from when we were 6-11 and we didnt understand english at the Time (Because im danish... i know, i hate it too) so that is one of the Biggest Childhood memory, still rembemer all the Little things that my Subcontious picked up on (So fucking cool) But thats it Banjo Kazooie N64... (Fuck Nuts and Bolts)

Awww yeaahhh. Have you tried the "HD" version they made for PS3 alongside Ico ? I never had the chance so I'm wondering if it's worth it.
Also I'm still waiting for the Last Guardian to be released, one day, maybe :D...

edit: oh hey, 2000 posts !! *celebrates*

One of the best soundtracks, too.
I loved the feeling of being in a field, not knowing what to do, following the direction of my sword, when BOOM!
    First colossus!
Seriously, that was an awesome gaming moment for ANY gamer :D
