    Hey!

A guy named phi 108 wanted me to report some guy who was scamming people by fastswitching his max head. Checked it out and he really tried it. Steam ID is <a class="postlink" href="http://steamcommunity.com/id/Anal_Punisher/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://steamcommunity.com/id/Anal_Punisher/</a>
Apparently he managed to get a bill's and some keys from some guy who left then.

Just wanted to report this. Have a nice day,
    Biber (not Bieber)

Scammer puts in a valuable item (in this case it was a max' head) and quick-switches it to a weapon before both parties seal the trade. Easily avoided if you check what you get before you click "trade"-button. But seems to work quite often as it is pretty common.

Wow, that's... At time same time i pity those whom this happens too, i can't help myself but to think that they only have themselves to blame for being too hasty and/or not cautious enough.
I hope that this will be resolved though. Has he contacted valve? They usually restore items that has been scammed if my memory serves me correct.

Well, usually you have to blame only yourself if you get scammed. Was stupid enough myself once. The actual victim of the scam just ran off so I don't know if he/she contacted Valve. But trying to reclaim your items is to no avail anyways. You just get a standard email telling you that you should have been more careful. I think they only try to restore items lost by hijacked accounts/bps. Not sure though...

It even says in huge red text in the text window when an item is removed, always remember to take your time when your trading, don't rush or be pressured by the other guy and if a deal seems too good to be true, it most likely is.

The reported link is useless, the guy has changed his custom url, you can check that out with the below site:

    <a class="postlink" href="http://www.liveweb.it/steam.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.liveweb.it/steam.php</a>

I'm admin on that site, and scammers get marked as scammers there. As such, I'm also admin on ASBOGaming trade server, and any in the list gets imported into the perm-bans there.

if anyone can provide a steam ID or a Steam64 ID, I'd be glad to add a appropriate tag (caution or scammer) to it.

    Scammer tag:
    - when reported scamming by high rep ppl (not account made yesterday on the forum etc)
    - or provided screenshots of trade chat and such.
    - having perm bans for scamming on UHC, ASBOGaming, RAWR, SourceOP Scammer DB thread report.

    Caution tag:
    - Having bans for other things then scamming on UHC, ASBOGaming, RAWR, or bad reports of scammers (not enough proof and low rep of reporter etc)
    - the caution status is only accessible via a password (to be filled in on bottom of page), I'm allowed to give this out to ppl, but not make it public by posting it on forums.

And guys, check yourself if you have scammers in your friendslist via that site. I noticed that I had a bunch of friends who had friends that where scammers, most I've warned about it, and often they have removed them.

I will have sometimes scammers and or "caution" tagged ppl in my FL, due to that i'm working apeals on some of them if they apply to such. For an appeal the original report(s) must be nullified first, or it must have been wrongly applied.

as the Database is over 600 scammers, the chance of having friends with scammers is quite large.

if the friendslists is listed but no name behind the link, the friend was never checked, you have to open it first so it will be checked.
