no, we don't have a plugin active yet to show which admins are online. i'm pretty certain though if you ask in chat, the admin will respond if he's there :)
In general, admins will most certainly have the lz tag in there name, in the future this might be clarified so people can recognise the admins more easily.

For online admins, you're always best to check our admin group on steam:
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/lethalzoneadmins, although not every admin is allready a member of that group i think.

An !admin plugin is a nice idea, but if a cheater use it and he sees that there is no admin, he could cheat. Well I overdraw a bit :D

If there is an undercover admin he can be caught cheating. That can't be done with the new system ;)

So both have there uses and flaws.

If there really would be a cheater someone could record a demo and everything would be fine. ;)

everyone can make a demo (we are not god ;)) so if anyone sees a cheater makes a demo proving it, type's status so we know the steam ID we can still ban him. i'm looking at a way to enable a browser window that opens steamchat for the specific game with online admins (if it works we will create a TF2 and CSS steam comunity with all admin for that game) for now try to keep calm and if u spot a cheater DON'T call him cheater or anything just go spec and make a demo (be carefull tough over 90% players you will get kicked if idle in about 2 minuits i think -> looking into making this a liotle longer)

It so happened that I cleaned up this group and send an invitation to all the admins not listed there.
In the future we'll keep this list more updated (thats Guus job now).
So look there if you need someone.

looking at multiplay where they have something like "!admins mic spam" i think they work with other plugins cause i can't find anything to relay it to anything else then IRC (wich i useless imo cause you cant see it when ingame) so how about we make a link on the server showing how to file a cheater eport?
    - solution 1: make your own demo with serverstatus (steam_ID)
    - solution 2: Send a message to admins with steam Admin comunity (via ingame steam browser)

You can always look on our IRC to contact an admin.
If you do, please provide in-game nick, server & SteamID.

If you don't have an IRC client installed, feel free to use our webversion @ Lethal-Zone IRC
If you wish to install and use IRC, you can download & read the instructions here

We might release a quick IRC guide if people don't know how to use this program.

so what's the verdict on this one? still open for discusion so uhm? let's hear it found a plugin that pops up a menu-like window (like our admin-menu) to the players with online admins (think it's only for that server tough cause i don't see any mysql extension to the plugin (i could be wrong)

What is he trying to say here?? to be honest, can't make anything of it :|
unless he's saying that there was somebody who called himself admin?

But once I have seen in the ban forum that Khadgar said, that you should not say that you are an admin (when you aren't one)and that are you going to ban other players.

    Think thats right

Is there just no plug in of some sort that allows you to request an admin and somewhere it says one has been requested?

Not IRC though, like on the Steam Community tab

if you play on lz servers for a month, you should know who the admin are and who don't.. i really think that giving the identity's of the admins via list, is a bad idea... possible cheaters or flamers will abuse this...

ok i got a little issue here

I was idling today, and since idling for me is 'being afk' i was away for a whole day.

Somebody pushed me of the 'deadzone' (the place were u die)

So i haven't got my drops as usual and that's kinda frustrating:(
No my question is who the admin is or what i can do about it?

    Greetings Woody

Not quite sure what you are trying to ask.

But if you don't want to be pushed out bind +left or +back or something so you can't get moved.

not sure if that is what you were asking though, on a side note: nice topic bump, almost a year.

simply not true. You dont need to die to get the drops. they only APPEAR after you die, so you are not playing in the middle of a game shooting that streak of 50 kills, and at your 2nd kill you get the drop in front of your nose.

    couple facts:
    - every week in the night between wednesday and thursday around 00:00 GMT the drop reset is done.
    - if you didn't use last weeks drops, those carry over to the current week's drop cap. but it only keeps 1 week history, it doesn't pile them up indefinately. say week 1 you didn't play, then your drop cap is extended to 13 hours.
    - the drop cap is between 10 and 13 hours, depending if you have reached your cap last week.
    - the drop server then makes an imaginary number, that consists of the time between you started playing for this week and the next drop. that number will be between 15 and 75 minutes. so every 15-75 minutes, you get a item for those first 10-13 hours in a week that you play. The only exeption is when a "double drop week" is. Then you get items in half the time. (the number of hours still apply then)
    - the only thing NEEDED to get drops, is to be connected to a server. NOTHING else. you dont need to be playing, you dont need to be in a team and or spawned. its perfectly fine to hang in spec for 13 hours and then come back to find that you have your drops.
    - AFTER the drop cap per week, you get nada, zilch, nothing.

It therefore you are spawned on a server, or w/e. it does not matter if you die or not. therefore no items where withold for you.

the only reasons ppl want to die on a idle server are these:
    - stats: max time alife stats etc, they dont want those to be extreme long. They only forget that they can hang in spec for that.
    - Convenience: easy to have all already in the backpack
Thats it, really. the rest is just bollocks, petty beliefs, rumors, etc.
