Yes i knwo there is shiny weapons in the game, but somehow i can get them for a map, then suddenly they disapper agian, and that was on the same server. Anyone know how that can be possible, or anyone can help?
I think thats the way Doel seduced Moon.. But I think he has a glitch in his graphicscard.. maybe running hot or something..... Maybe first thing to do is update drivers....
No... And they first disapper agian after map change There is shiny weapons in TF2 Try to look at this, not the best picture but well, it is hard to find shiny pictures: http://pnmedia.gamespy.com/screenshots/phl/33764308.jpg Or well just watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=be2K-AhV6Vs And i just had set my DirectX from 8 to 10, which game shiny wepaons, all hats look right ( already at DirectX 9 they work right ), and other things. Since it can not be changed in the options>Video>Advanced Settings, atleast by me not, you can change it with commands. Like mat_dxlevel (80-90-95-100), i believe the numbers can be, in console. Also where you had but in -console you can set in -dxlevel (80-90-95-100) the numbers.
try updating your gfx drivers from the official site. Or try downloading a custom driver from guru3d.com Are u experiencing frames drops? long loading times? Screen lag or small lines in ur screen during gameplay?
No frame drops, well only lags but that is cause it has not fully loaded. Long loading? Well i do not call it long, but it has always been like that. The same like the first one, but no lines in the way.
uhmm, he is experiencing something that can only be seen with the highest quality hardware and everything on the highest level. atleast that's what the vid says. so. I don't see a problem or anything. except for the fact you can't open the option menu :?
what specs does ur pc have? Which os & driver version? As far as i know, graphical settings don't change by itself. Unless your card gets a heating issue, then software can intervene and lower the dataflow therefore lowering it's temperature. some pc specs would be nice to exclude that. u think? i understood he had the "shiny" effect, but it keeps disappearing in-game. lol
well the fact that he can't open it might also be the reason it disappears. because the settings go crazy and he can't (easily change/set them)
i don't realy get the "shiny" aspect of it all haha looking at the mov. and the pic it looks the same as it does here haha (not that i pay that much atention to the weapons haha)
I play with every thing as low as possible. everything is crap and players become grey if they aren't close
I play with anything on high I just like when it looks good and it is able to be played without frame lag. Though right now the problem seems to be fixed by itself, since now i still got shiny weapons even when changing server. Anyway: what specs does ur pc have? Which os & driver version? I got Windows Vista Home Premium 2 MB RAM, 8600M GT Nvidia, Generic PnP Monitor Graphic driver version is 195.62, so you can not say it is old since it is from 21/11
I think I found your problem... Your graphicscard: http://www.notebookcheck.nl/NVIDIA-GeFo ... 110.0.html I see that it uses shared memory up to max 512 mb from you 2 Gb... If you have more things running while gaming on your laptop, that decreases the amount of free MB... Try putting heapsize to a set point in your startup options for TF2... and it might help... maybe disable other things running before you start playing, to free up memory...
I think he refers towards RAM memory there. Where his ram is 2Gb atm. The gfx card is good, but for high end gfx quality it's not good. So everything on max won't run good i guess. Disabling other running programs before starting tf2 might idd resolve your issue as guus pointed out. What you could try, if the problems still occurs, download Speedfan or another temp monitor tool, check on ur temps and see how how everything gets after 30 mins of gaming.
There sure is no problem, had played for 4 hours, and no problems. Just the computer getting a little bit hot, but else nothing big problem. No graphic problems or so. Also i do not run with antialiasing or what it is called, only on Trilinare or so.
I watched the picture and the vid from the early post, but frankly is there a problem here? His minigun looks nice and shiny, thats a good thing imo. I mean I'd like it...
