    Heyho.

I'm wondering if you guys like to play every class a bit or if you play exclusively only like one or two classes.

I see a lot that some players have like 300 hours with their most played class, followed by the second most played one with poor 10 hours.
I can't really understand people like this, who limit this game just to almost one class. Every class gives a totally new feeling of the game and it's a pity to miss that.
Even though I got a favourite class (MAGGOTS!), I like to play everything a little bit. Just depending on the situation or the map. I pretty much play along the lines of "If nothing works with this class, swap to another one." :D

    So what about you?

Im training my soldier skills, so I think first that class and then maybe another one.

Some people just enjoy one class more than others. I like being engineer so I play that a lot. I dislike soldiers and demos, so I don't play them and so on.

prefer playing medic, because it feels like you have the most influence as medic

tend to play scout a lot lately. pyro comes next and soldier.
Stats show soldier most played by me.
All other classes pretty equal depends on the situation.
Never play spy actually, don't like it.

I'm a soldier player myself, because I like the ability to play both defence and offence, long range and short range and rocketjumping is a big help in certain maps. When it's needed I will change to medic, demo, heavy or to a lesser extent pyro.

Engineer is for when it's a map I don't really like or all my favourite classes have enough players and a well placed sentry could be a big help.

I normally almost never play spy, sniper or scout cos I feel I'm not a big help to the team when I play those, I kinda suck at them ;)

when im in a good mood i play demo , when im in a bad mood engi , when im in a lazy mood sniper and sometimes medic .

but it also has to do what my team has , example , if there's 2 sniper i wont become sniper unless they suck .

Just a little off-topic but is it just me or has the IQ of players on the TF2 servers just halved in the last weeks? Every night I play multiple maps with a team consisting of 3 snipers, 3 scouts and a couple of spies while we just keep being overrun by a team of soldiers and heavies accompanied by a medic or two.

Just this evening, i was the ONLY assault class (heavy, soldier, demo, pyro) on a team with 10 players.. It wasn't even any use to go medic and help out the rest cos we wouldn't have had any high-hp class left..

It seems a couple of months ago I never had this problem, but the last week(s) the class disticution is just always totally fucked up..

Just something I needed to get off my chest ;)

You cant do anything about that, I mean you can't restrict players to play a certain class. but it is annoying i know.....

    you cannnn

    ot:
i mostly play medic, like marmot says it does feel like you have allot of influence with him
its also the class that if i'm in the mood i can get really talkative with wich is allot of fun with a team thats willing
especially if i have a great Heavy on my team, its just too much fun teaming up with the cutest class of'm all -> still misses Skilllessness

other then that if i feel like being an asshole i go Spy or Engi
Engi not so much because its really a thankless job people dont seem to care enough about
seriously, if you have a good engies on your team, thank them allot and give them some more backup cuzz those guys play a much more difficult role then you think
hell and even if their not so good, still give'm backup and some pointers while your at it :!:
other then that i'm like TRYING to become somewhat of a decent soldier, i still got a loooooong way coming but i'm really proud i can do halfdecent rocketjumps now, it only took me like FOREVER

if Pyro's and Demo's wouldnt get picked so damn much i'd play them allot more too but now i just go with them when i suprisingly see only one or in those rare occasions, nobody playing them!
to start up servers or just in games that are only half full i mostly go scout cuzz you can be appropriatly annoying but still fun, i've had allot of silly moments with him ^^

i only go sniper on rare occasions, i'm too paranoid and too much of a bad aim to ever be a competent sniper

@ warlordje on the low iq's of players, i feel the same way, skill level hasnt been great lately
but to everyone who feels this way (not aimed to you warlordje, never seen you trash/disrespect anyone ;) ) try and keep downplayin those players to a minimum cuzz its really frustrating when i see people go "OMFG WHAT NOOB TEAM I GOT"
i hate that shit, i do think the same i wont deny that but i also know this game still attracks a ton of new players everyday and i've seen some of our regulars that we're really beyond "Noobism" a few months ago eventually evolve to good players that are still improving everyday

what bothers me more in the end is the people who go Spec and teamstack
ok it does suck to be on a team full of noobs that dont even bother to speak but it also sucks playin with a good team and just having no competition wich in turn gets the server empty on allot of occasions

I guess everyone has a more favorite class to play with. I myself am mostly medic or engineer, because i believe they can provide a great support for achieving victory.
And about the noobishness, even with noobs it's doable to win easily, just needs a bit more teamwork. If you have like a medic+heavy and some communications going, then the battle tends to get a lot easier imo, noobs or no noobs. It is offcourse more fun to play with people who actually have a clue where to run and who don't spend half the map running behind you in pure believe that you're an invincible spy of somekind 8)

I hate heavy medic pairs! in your team they take all the attention and kills (no exitment..)and in the other team you need to be a spy or also have a medic to even have a chance

and warlordje demo is not an assault class  who's IQ is droppig?
    nah just kidding bro :p
I know your problem but it also have it good sides! if for example quinten is in your team, you look like a complete newb xD
But that's the problem with every online shooter... over/under-experienced players...

Snipers are of course totally worthless against a 27% fast moving Heavy with a big balloon head, eh? :p

I know it's an "area denial" class but at least it's a class with which an experienced player can cap a CP or make a difference without having to stay far from the front lines and still being able to have medium health after taking some damage unlike snipers, scouts, spies etc..

Anyways, me wants more marmot, a decent (I mean me of course, marmie is superduperexcellent) soldier/medic pair can at least make a difference even if the rest of the team just runs around with their thumbs up their asses ;)

Especially if the Medic has the Kritzkrieg.
There's nothing bettter than lashing about with instant death rockets.

I disagree on that actually, I actively avoid being ubered with the kritzkrieg. The invulnerability is sooo much more important to make a dent in the defence at the start of the round or break down a sentry defence round a CP. Granted, it's great fun blowing everyone up with 10 seconds of critical charge (followed by 2-3 normal crits because of all the damage done), but I feel it doesn't help the team enough most of the time, it's just a personal rampage :)

all depends, when your on defence a Kritzkrieg is really usefull
on offence you need to break thru allot of blind spots so you go with the normal uber

A personal rampage which can eradicate the whole enemy team: Click

Mhm... remember that Krit you gave me at the last point of Badwater Basin. That was fun. *hrhrhrhr*

But of course it depends on the situations. On Payload and maps like Dustbowl the regular Uber is way more useful for the attacking team, since there are a crapload of sentries to take down.
For the defense however on payload is Kritzkrieg not a bad choice since there are mostly a lot of people around the cart.

On regular cp maps like Granary are both Mediguns useful. For the beginning however, I would prefer the Kritskrieg, since the gun pretty much charged when you reach the middle. So you can already start the killing spree and might even take out the enemy medic with the regular Medigun.
Later on is the regular Medigun more useful though since Engineer like to build Sentries and 4th point.

Always depends on the siutation. I'm personally more the Kritskrieg Medic but there are sometimes situations where I'd wish to be invulnerable instead. :doubt:
