    So me and the girlfriend are planning on doing a last min holiday... we now have a choice to make between 2 locations;

    Greece - Rhodes: Around £550 all inclusive. The hotel has awesome reviews and is a couple min walk to the beach and things. Its also near to that Falaraki shit hole where everyone goes and gets pissed. It's cheaper than the second location though;

    Caribbean - Aruba: Around £700 all inclusive. The hotel has mixed reviews, its right on the beach which is pretty much a typical caribbean beach (white sands, crystal clear water) with less to do as its not exactly a party location.

    So its either a cheaper holiday to Greece where I'm unsure about whats happening over there with the money problems. Or Aruba which is an expensive island and we are going to one of the lower costing hotels (Holiday Inn)...

    I personally would like the caribbean, as I know it has awesome beaches and things... but she is thinking more of Greece because its just a 'safer' location for her.

    Well, as long as I remember I never had "money problems" or whatever. Anyway, even if it was damn too hot for me, Greece is still quite nice. Crystal clear water too but as far as I remember there used to be a lot of "stone" beaches which I dont really like ;p. I agree with you about the price. If you want to have dinner in a restaurant or whatever it will be more affordable.
    It's up to you ^^

    edit: if you want to tour around and see historical stuff : Greece > Caribbean

    Aruba, you know marckymarck on mumble, he lives there.. so you can always visit those folks for tips too.
    Dont forget that they all will speak english, but most of them also speak dutch too :)

    Rent a jeep go off-road too, its just as funny. (although insurance wise you should not do that, but you can always lie) casino's are great there too, as long as your on the table, the drinks are coming.

    Make sure your near the strip, not on the strip because its too expesive. (i think the strip was lg smith blvd) you can also take a boat from that place, and go to the water blabla part, some nice boat trips, pirate boat snorkeling , or on a big faster ship, also snorkeling but just relaxing in the sun on the boat deck with a drink in your hand and other people just having fun.

    Also there is a marine sea food restaurant, with fish behind glas all around you. And a bunch of other stuff, overall i would give it a nice descent 8.

    Mexico (Playa del Carmen) had a 9 for me, nice to the beach, a big shopping area around it too as long as you can go, too many food places to eat and a TON of places to go (take a bus, sit your ass for 2 to 3 hours) and your in the middle of a forrest with a pyramid like stuff or oceanic surrounding , swim with dolfins god knows what. Just saying though.

    They speak dutch in Aruba, so you could swear overthere :)
    Aruba not a party location ? :lol:
    dont forget the plain ticket is your biggest expense, over there everything is cheap.
    Aruba ftw, my hart melts when seeing white beaches and palmtrees...

    but Im also to Greece with the gf this summer for just 1 week...island hoping *notch notch*
    I always do bigger trips when its for at least 2 weeks. So thats how I decide on a expensive holiday or not.

    Oh thats awesome, not seen him on in a while though.

    Also, about an hour ago the aruba one came to £665. Remember that includes flights, hotel drinks and food which is pretty nice. Although Greece may need the money, spending £150 more to go to the Caribbean just sounds so much better.

    And yeah I think my parents are going to treat us to a jeep safari Snel, since I'm too young to rent a car/jeep over there (plus its on the other side of the road for me ;) ). And we'll go on a boat trip too I'm sure.

    Find your own! I'm already in one! :badgrin:
    P.s.: Don't tell Alias I'm in his bag.

    I'd say Aruba, tropical beaches, clear blue water? What more can you wish for? :D
    Oh and what snelvuur describes sounds pretty awesome! ^^

    Alias, if you go off-road, who cares on which side you are, just dont hit rocks and mountains ;p (well not that they have many mountains over there.
