-In the TF2 trading server- As most of you might have noticed, there is a glitch called the überglitch. It can give a player an übercharge for unlimmited time. I noticed that some admins forbid it, and some don't know what to do. I think it should be nice if we clear this up, by adding a new rule, or allow it. I made a poll so you guys can vote Greeting from jelmer1414
How does this work, exactly ? I'm almost never on the Trade servers, so I never seen it. I guess it should be forbidden if players are abusing it... but it's a trade server after all, not DM or any regular gamemode :/ .
Isn't there a notice on the walls in the boxingroom? I might be mistaken though. Ofcourse is glitch abuse not allowed, so no poll should be held for that. Anyway, we (I) have an updated version of the map ready (with a fix for this glitch). It will be on the server in a couple of days.
In the boxing room are only the common rules, none for the glitch. Or it has to be hidden in a dark, creepy corner, next to a homeless heavy...
hmm, I do remember a plugin on ASBO where one would get all effects (uber, kritz, etc) if one typed a command in the chat. another was a problem with transitions with going into and out of nodmg zones in maps, that sometimes this wasn't working well. It meant checking everybody b4 starting a event. Some knew how to "trigger" it, others did it accidental. It required a respawn to get rid of. I vaguely remember some about admin teleport out of no-dmg zone, but not sure. As OP isn't telling how it happens, it can be accidental, which cannot be punished.
Like this? This can also be resolved by just healing the infini-ubered player with a dispenser or medigun, as healing by way of these methods causes the game to check the healer's ubercharge and (if less than ~10%) replace the uber with the flashing uber effect (which decays after ~3 secs)
Yes it works like rswallen pointed out. People are not doing this by accident, we got a good few people abusing it on purpose to either farm their stranges or just annoy the hell out of friendly traders. What we do is warn them, ask them to stop it (even tell them how to do so) and if they don't stop they are kicked/banned. But since the update is under way there's no point in discussing it too much. The question "should glitching/exploiting be allowed?" is weird enough...
