dont think it'l ever turn out into a full fledged movie but like they say a 10 minute short or something along the line of episodic nature is a definite possibility, really curious how the other 2 "Meet the.. " vids will turn out
woow long story. quite a challenge for my english ^^ but about the story I would reaaally love a movie from TF2 or meet the clips for L4D ^^ an exclusve interview with the tank  can't wait for the pyro
then why bother to reply -.- I would love more vis, of course meet the medic and pyro first. A full movie is going to be hard for them since you wanna get people killed. And there are only 18 characters, 9 of each team. So I'd go with multiple 10 inute vids rather than one long one. Its going to take a year I think to get that far at least, but hey I'll be around
Welcome sir..to the internet! Where all long english texts and dinosaurs roam the internet. I think they should make the cutscenes between the campaignes, like there was a intro movie for No Mercy. I can't wait for the Meet the Pyro neither. You can clearly see the "Meet The.." vids getting better and better. I was really blown away by Meet the Spy, the music, the scenes etc, it was perfectly made! So I think Valve has a lot of potential in making an animation movie, it would be fun if they made a 10 minute movie of TF2!
Now that you mention it, I really want them to make a vid of what happens between no Mercy and Death Toll, and all the others. I wanna see that heli crash and stuff
Different team, and the campaigns used to be connected so the movies are there. But they where pulled, for one simpel reason. After you "survived and won" you would get a cutscene where you would "lose" ie the pilot getting sick and crashing etc. And the movies would have to be watched everytime, wich get's kinda annoying.
Who says they have to be watched every time you finish... Do you have to watch that first vid every time you start playing No Mercy? They couldve just make you unlock it and then make a new buttong in the menu saying "Videos", where you can see the start vid again and the others you've unlocked. Seen that kind of stuff often enough so it shouldn't be that hard. I doubt the vids were made, they wouldve been released on youtube or something if they had been. BTW I recall a Valve staff member saying that Valve is a company small enough to make everyone work on pretty much everything, so then a "different team" would be bullshit anyway. It still is because even if it is a different team, they made the first one as well didnt they, so valve has someone to make the vids anyway. And seeing what it does for TF2 I think doing the same for L4D wouldn't be bad publicity either
Seems like diff teams to me. The info I gave about the vids is coming from the Dev commentary and various interviews. But a nice extra would be cool.
optional vids would be cool, after rewards like finishing on expert etc i seriously have NO need whatsoever to get them whilst gaming big huge fuck you to all the moronic developers still forcing dumb cutscenes midgame forgetting all about the pacing and gameplay
I was more thinking of a system that unlocks the video for you in the extra's after you finished a campaign. This way you're not forced to see the video over and over again and is it more some kind of backstory you can watch if you want. EDIT: noticed that Mike already said, what I kinda meant
So much text and in the end not much news... Oh well, if people want more TF2 Movies they just should stick to the fanmade ones.
