Well I was on the vsh server #2 today and I noticed that a player's backburner had an extra attribute. I don't know for sure but isn't that due to a file in the server folder? More specifically the tf2weapons.txt in the sourcemod configs folder or something. The attribute number is 165 and is currently unused in any of the tf2 weapons and maybe for future use. (Source: TF2 Wiki and my experience) My main question is if its functional (because back when I used it, it wasn't functional in any way, holding the M2 button didn't work either.), how can the pyro use it? P.S. The names on the screenshot have been removed by me (Photoshop Skillz! )
So a charged airblast.. i can imagine hale coming.. and you blast him to the end of the map.. ;p (fully charged airblast = 90% rage for hale if someone would make it)
Yes, its name would be "Snel's airblast" ;D But the question still stands, is it functional or is it just for testing purposes right now? (or just to lure some player into equiping the backburner? xD)
No idea, I just checked, and its not on any. If you have the player's ID, we may check their BP, unless it was a server mod, for a server CAN equip "custom" weapons, like on Dodgeball etc.
First, it is a server mod. I know that it is, as I said on my first post on this topic. I asked because when I tried it on the backburner (on the FortressFraggers server, since I was an admin and manager of files there), either it didn't work or there is a special button that is needed to be pressed for it to work (which I doubt it, because its probably M2 since the default airblast is M2).
Dont worry. Just because it has a charged airblast doesnt mean that it makes it any better than the Degreaser. The ammo cost is still damn high, which makes it not worth it. Better have a lot small airblasts than one big pushback (which will get even worse when you dont have a lot space around you).
All that I can saw from my recent gameplay with the backburner (for testing purposes) is that: 1. The Backburner still uses the 50 ammo with each airblast, which means 4 blasts if no flames are released. 2. I didn't see such a big change in knockback, except for once where I airblast hale from the centre of the warehouse (in arena_warehouse_v2) to the wall with one blast, but I think a sentry aided me a little bit on that. Conclusion: Due to the TauntCrits plugin, gameplay wise I think the Backburner should be removed or at least given 100% crits from all directions not just the back, so at least does who use it get some more damage before awaiting their certain death.
