    As the subject states.

One finds it too much the other too low..

The afk system has mumtiple options. Basicly the idea is that untill we have 18 players, you can be afk, it will put you in spec but WONT kick you. This is handy if regulars play a bit but then do something else but want to be spec to fill the server.

After 18 it will start to kick people that are afk.

Now there are 2 things that will move a afk player to spec.

    - In spawn (i believe 15 seconds or so?)
    - Outside spawn (30 seconds?)

Anyway, my question to you guys, (since i will take all of them, then add them up and then divide etc etc) what would the values need to be?

So i want to know the following if you post here:

    - Seconds before moving to spec when your IN spawn
    - Seconds before moving to spec when your OUTSIDE spawn
    - Seconds before kicking you when you are in spectator mode.

And please, keep in mind that you cant just say "10 minutes" because if you have 5 people afk for 10 minutes in a round of 20 minutes thats a "lost" game then.

    1 minute inside spawn
    2 minutes outside spawn
    5 minutes in spec

If im on and the server is 24/24 then i usually kick people who are afk, after asking them if they are there.

AND please remove the topcats's invul for it. Or let normal admins be able to kick them. Sometimes the server is full for 10 mins, but there are still TC's spectating. And naturally they can't be at their pc's 24/7 so sometimes the slots are wasted...

A match takes 20 minutes? So you would allow people that do nothing a minimum of 6 minutes idle? Thats more then 25% of the complete game.

Morrolan is the only one with a good answer so far imho. Specate 2 min is ok, so you can watch someone or take a quick piss break.

Like i said, high times is not a option. On all maps 1 and 2 nobody can join if there are so many people in spec.

Think about it, people are already complaing if the game starts and there are 4 people in spawn just standing there..

I hope you guys understand my points here, i was hoping that one would start of with suggestions in "seconds" rather then minutes.

And dont forgot, if your a admin you can join with reserved slot but the real people we live on is the community people :)

1 minuit everywhere xD or 2 in spec (if he needs to take a leak or something) so that's 3 minuits total :)

If a server is full then you can almost guarantee and admin will be on, in which case he can kick anyone who is afk and has not yet been auto kicked, thats what i usually do.

Today for example i was talking to q quite abit while i was playing and after every time i had typed something i had been moved to spectate, thats just ridiculous.

It seems that my times are popular so i guess you either ride with them or just over rule us all :D

EDIT: i have had no problem kicking Doel and other people using the admin menu.

2 minutes is the time my PC needs to change from the Desktopview into the game -.- . So if i would fly on the desktop, and that are the settings, I wont be that happy.

A map is 30 minutes to begin with.

If you want it down. I'd go for 1,1,4. So you have 5 mins to take a piss. or answer the phone. Or chat. Because I get talked to a lot. Especially around 19.00-20.00. I'm not always able to respond to everyone in just 60 secs. That's hard and it's annoying to be put spectator.

    However. I have 1 question.

Imagine: You spot a cheater and you want to make a demo of it. You go spectator and you keep following the guy. You want a nice long demo to be a 100% sure, but you get kicked before you have what you wanted... because you were spectator in a full server too long. That's kinda sucky sucky... AND discourages regulars to go spectator to make a demo. And because they don't even do it now, the chances in the future with shorter times will be even less.

Well the issue at hand here is that it should leave spectators online if they "move" but mostly the people that will catch the person is a admin who doesn't get kicked.

I would rather go for the 1 1 4, in between but still its a lot. Our servers are rather full all the time :) we have become popular ;)
