Did you guys knew about this? wait, let me start at the beginning. you probably know about the http://www.tf2items.com site. well it looks like you can trade your items (plus hats.) there... in the ubber menu bar, you can select traiding, and after claiming your backpack, you should be able to trade. or so they say... do you guys know/trust/do this?
Yeah, I've heard about it, that you can trade stuff there.. But I have no opinion about it. perhaps I'd rather wait on the Valves trading system.
You will have to find your backpack first, claim it, then it will appear on the upper left of the screen.
It was a joke on the typo, i mean the B is a bit far from the P to be a slip. Anyway does anyknow know and use this? Because this would mean that the trading system is already here, while everyone still says they still have to make it.
Trusting is not the problem... This site is created by Drunken F00l, who also made the idling program and he got from Valve a community weapon. The whole trading aspect looks interesting, so I claimed my backpack to see how this works and it seems the only thing you can currently do is putting items up from your backpack to trade, but there's no actual trading possible. So the only use of this site is to find people who got the items you're looking for. Also, What the fuck...
by the time valve releases the trading system everybody has all hats xD i'm allready at my 24'th huntsman xD
Already loaded with items but hats? Haven't received any hat at all so far, except the ones I had some control of like the Cheaters Lament, both Halloween hats and Bills hat (prebuy L4D2). But thats it and I WANT MORE HATS !
See this system has some flaws, although we had already long established it. But somehow one big thing keep popping up, and thats that hats are unequally divided. I dont care about new people getting hats or anyhting, but the fact that some, probably good and very active players, have a lot of hats, and other good active players (or active yet not so good players as myself) dont have any. I dont recall it exactly but I think it worked like this: every hour x amounts of hats are given to random players. Well I hope they change it so that the more hats you have, the less likely you are to recieve a new one. At least that way it may become a little more equally divided.
like i always wanted was that they should reward veteran players or people that play a certain class for a certain amount of time (or something like this) like i have 380? (something lik it) hours as soldier, 310 (+/-) hours as demo etc. first hat i got was the sniper hat (not complaining about it) but i never play it so i was kinda glad i got the engineerhat. or valve make more hats and give every player the hats so they can choose what they want to use... or fix the friggin system allready (we all know valve an fixing half baked system -> l4d matchmaking)
In a blog post long long ago. Valve mentioned that they would release a way to increase the chance of dropping a specific hat. I am still waiting for that glorious moment.
Lol, how the hell does every tf2 thread keeps derailing towards the hats thingy, we should make a thread for it or something... I keep seeing the same discussion everywhere! Besides, Hats are purely cosmetic, means they don't add much gameplay towards the game, unlike the unlockables. If you got one you yaays, put it on and goes play it happy further. And they are intended to be rare* ..if they're not going to be rare anymore..then I hope they make some sort of Domination 4 Hat system, like the ghastly Gibus. I think the system is quite getting well though, I'm getting alot more stuff then I was used to during the beginning, sure they may not be hats, but atleast we're getting something instead of nothing. for the starters it's quite fine, for the ones that owns all unlockables, well..they all started to go hathunting Ontopic: Still waiting on their Crafting and Trading system
Hm...................................... (Yeah, I know intended doesn't mean it has to be... but it's frustrating to see such spilt over backpacks, when yours is still just filled with junk)
