well men , we found a sweet plugin but first we wanne know what you guys think of it ... the idea is that players can set tripmines ... we can also set it like that only 1 class can use them like demo or engi (as i have read in the forum) this because to prevent that the whole map is build with tripmines ... this gives an extra dimension to the gameplay . so what do you guys think ?
Not on server 1, maybe 2, can try 3 if it works, with 1 or 2 classes... Maybe adds a little more fun in the game..
I think it's a mod just like powerup-frogs etc. I don't see a benefit for the gameplay with those mines, but I do see the server not being pure (or vanilla or however you call it in TF2) afterwards, which is why people like the Lethal Zone servers (really, there aren't that many shared-stat-servers with no mods etc).
Even though it looks interesting, I voted for no. Not because it sucks, but because we don't really have space for it. LZ1-2 are vanillas which are filled at peak periods and such a plugin could scare people away, LZ3 is for the kids who somehow like 24/7 Goldrush Instant Respawn is also filled and LZ4 will be shutdown. Pity actually since that could've been the gimmick, which would be able fill the server since custom maps nor Arena mode was attracting people. Then again I see a the balancing issue with this plugin. Give the mines only to one class - everyone will play only this class or complain about how unbalanced this class now is with those mines. Give it to every class and the map will be spammed with those things.
I only play on server #1 and #2 because they are totally standard, so I'd really hate seeing custom mods on them.
Looks fun! I remember using trip mines in Jailbreak / Hl2 DM, where it was fun to use.^^ And I agree with the others that it should be only in Server 3.
Maybe on a fifth server =D. I don't think many ppl will approve this and besides, isn't this the demo's task?
