UGC Highlander Season 6 starts Jan 23rd - LZ is invited!

    I made sure a post like this was ok with Snelvuur. UGC is a free league and this is not a 'commercial' endeavor :p

    We're looking to grow our Euro division, and this community was the first place to come to mind. Even though I am US, I had a friend that played on your servers and found myself playing here often. UGC would love LZ to enter a team or two into its upcoming season.

    And with Season 5 coming to an end a couple weeks ago, Season 6 is just around the corner! Preseason starts Jan 23rd and registration officially closes on Jan 30th. This is plenty of time to get your team together and get a few scrims under your belt! And UGC can help!

    Not familiar with Highlander play? Highlander is 9v9; one of each class. Classes that are rarely used in 6v6, such as spy, engie and pyro, are essential for a great Highlander Team.

    **Prizes**

    This is a free league, but that doesn't mean there aren't any prizes!

    Teams get official unique in-game medals for participation, and even nicer medals for finishing well. Winners will also receive keys.

    And lastly, UGC will be raffling off 9 unusuals this season: 1 for each class. To be eligible, you must be a member of an active team.

    I love the idea and every event we can do as a community is great! Sadly I don't have the time to lead a team through such an event. I could probably participate as a team member, but not much more.

    If there is anyone up for the task of putting up an LZ Highlander team, then I'm all in.

    To prevent disasters like last time. A leader should fully realise the weight of the job, before taking it. For as long as the tournament runs he should invest a minimum of 5-10 hours a week into the team. Not only playing the pcw's and officials, but also the organising of them, the planning. Getting the team running etc.

    And for any players willing to join. Make sure you have multiple evenings you can spent on playing. You must have like 3 or 4 possible days on which you should be able to play. Not that you would play them all, but else we'll never find a mutual day to play.

    So yeah, it's a great idea and a great opportunity. But we'll need the right people on the right moment.

    If you'd think you're up for the task, talk to me on steam. We'll figure it out.

    That's very nice to get invited like this :) . I'd love to take part in this, but I think I would lack time to be involved seriously so I'll just be here to cheer our team ;) .

    I would really love to take part in this, but as i only have 3 free evenings a week, together with college and other stuff i do i simply dont have the time to organize a team. Maybe someone would like to be joint leader with me and we could share the responsibilities.

    I have only just got back into TF2 in the past week or so, and i see registration closes today so, anyone out there want to do this with me?

    well played some highlander matches with BBQ (have the medal to prove it haha) so why not ^^

    i'd like to sign up (or sign up for back up, how ever you see fit) for soldier, medic, demo/pyro in that order (skill) engineer & spy could also be options but i think there are other people more soothed for that. oh and on a side note i SUCK as heavy or rather don't like to play it.

    Team registration is over from what I know, but you still can look for a backup slot in another teams.
